The story behind the video was that I was hired to film a dance/ballet recital in Washington state. All the dances were great, but something special happened when their youngest class (who had just started) came out on stage. It was so sweet, and the girls just kept going with so much innocence and enthusisim... I just had to share the clip with other people who could enjoy it. It was 12 years ago when I uploaded the video, and just recently the views just TOOK OFF! Since then, our family lived in Europe for six years, and now we've been in Thailand for three years. Feel free to follow some of our adventures on this channel or our channel about living in Thailand ru-vid.com/show-UCGNZja66Lece461B_FnqzIA
What I would love to know is how many, if any of these four went on studying. It touched a memory long buried of an abortive ballet turn! Love these potential prima ballerinas!
@@JacobMooney I cannot stop watching them. The way she throws herself into a spin is just too adorable. Wonderful video of lovely little ballerinas. Well done.
I love that they all just back up until one of them shuffle to the front and then they all follow and do a little spin before sliding back and repeating 😂 too cute
When I was about 10 I was learning Scottish dancing. At a concert (for the parents) the two best dancers were to do a highland fling duet. One of them had to pull out at the last minute due to illness and I was selected to replace her. I had no rehearsal with the other dancer, the best in the class, and the teacher told me 'just do exactly what she does'. However, the 'best dancer' got stage fright and totally stuffed up the dance. And like a good girl, I obediently and conscientiously mimicked her every mistake. Apparently it was hilarious, I can still remember the audience laughing. However I was mortified and dropped out of the class - I don't think the dance world missed me! I did continue dancing, just not on stage.
I laughed as well!! Not at them- with them. I think the audience laughing encouraged the fine demonstrations of poise and grace we saw! Beautiful innocent fun.
My daughter did 12 years through local ballet classes. The annual shows were great. Of course, the youngest classes always gave the best performance and got the loudest applause. Thanks for the reminder.
That is sooo amazing. The youngest little choreographers and improvisors making the show go on as it should. Just loved seeing them dance to the feel of that music. So privilidged to see what they wanted to bring to the stage with each very special little personality in the making. Thank you for sharing this treasure.
🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🤭🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 This definitely proved anyone can dance 😍 The thrill these little girls had on the night will always be remembered and warm the hearts of the families and friends Australia 💕Christina
I have no idea why this popped up in my feed some 12 years after it was uploaded - but I’m thrilled it did! This may very well be the most captivating and enjoyable ballet I’ve ever seen ...EVER!!!
Oh my gosh, this just came on my feed after going through a pretty awful morning. How adorable made me giggle all the way through. Absolutely precious! I needed this video today. 💕🥰
They're dancing like no one is watching. Their attempts to do the routines and looking directly at the teacher are priceless. How hard were those parents laughing? Tears streaming, gut hurting tears & drooling?? That was awesome!!
This was a gorgeous performance, and just had to watch it again. Thank you for capturing these adorable little dancers on film... it is so priceless. 😊
So sweet. This reminds me of my daughter doing a dance performance with her childcare when she was 4 years old. Cutest thing I ever saw. It was 35 years ago.
thank you so much Jake - I need a good laugh today, and this was it. Because the little girls ARE so innocent and adorable - just great fun all round. I think we all fit into a category as personified by one of these little ballerinas (I'm the 3rd from the left - keeping at the back for the most part - trying to do it right & follow the off-stage cues, but I'd really like to be charging around & freestyling like the little blonde 'star'). I wonder what these girls are doing now? 😆😆
I'm glad this cheered you up today Patricia! :-) it always makes my family laugh when we watch it again from time to time. The videos actually 12 years old so I also wonder! They're probably getting ready to graduate high school!
ThankYou Jake. This was such a delightfully enjoyable recital to watch. Given it was from 12 years ago, these young girls are now possibly 16 years old. I wonder if any of them continued with (ballet) dance lessons or not. Watching their sheer joy, their spontaneity, their willingness to do what they each thought was the next step, with each of them dancing in their own unique style. The little blonde girl who was like a sweet butterfly, flittering around the stage, without a care in the world. She was just dancing for the pure joy dancing provided her. The girl with the dark hair who was more willing to try to focus on their dance teacher waiting in the wings, was trying so hard to get it right. I loved how they followed each other yet were still very individualistic in their movements. It was a long dance for youngsters to remember. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to track all the girls down, show them the video and have them try to revive it. I imagine it would be just as entertaining. Wherever the girls are today, I hope they are still dancing as though no one is watching them. Dancing for the joy it gives them. Dancing for thst sense of freedom.
These little dancers were so confident, and they worked together well as a team. I particularly liked their twirls and tiny graceful running steps. They were in constant motion and in time with the music. I thought their whole performance was very entertaining.
