This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Prima ballerina Lisa Macuja Elizalde shares lessons learned from three decades of dancing, and concludes her presentation with a performance to remember at TEDxDiliman 2014.
Lisa Macuja-Elizalde is the most celebrated prima ballerina of the Philippines. The numbers speak for themselves: 30 years of dancing the lead roles in over 300 full length ballets, performing in 90 cities around the globe that span five continents.
She is the first and only foreign artist in the prestigious Kirov Ballet in Russia. Also known as "ballerina of the people", Lisa is presently the Artistic Director and principal dancer of BALLET MANILA - the country's youngest and most sought classical dance company.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
