I always wondered how complicated those would be to make! I'm sure when you build these designs you don't have to put much planning into it because of your years of experience and you know right off the bat but for someone new to decor, do you suggest using a grid of some sort? If so, what are your recommendations? Thank you so much for sharing - you have no idea how helpful this is! By the way... LOVE the high heels!
Haha once you Get the basics of column building down , they are actually easier than twisting. I have to go up against Masori and AMFAB and bust out some of my own columns.
Balloon Sage Aha! A man of many talents! I took a week long class of balloon decor a few months ago but we didn't get into different types/designs of garlands. There is only so much you can teach/learn in 5 days! I did learn enough to get started on a new business & I've been quite successful with it. Look me up... volunteer balloons.com
When I have done towers I feel that there are big gaps in between the balloons and my structure is visible. What can I be doing wrong? Am I not inflating the balloons big enough or inflating too much?
It could be that you're packing too tight or not tight enough. It could also be a sizing issue. But from certain angles you will always be able to see some gaps. :~)
Hi Sandi I'm doing my 1st corporate event and I'm super scared because I'm not fast. The event starts at 12 pm. I doing 10 columns and I won't do an arch because I don't think I'll have it finished in time. Do you have any advice. Also it's and Alice in Wonderland theme and I have other decorations I'm adding as well, do you have any tips that will help me
Do everything in advance and rent a truck to take it to the venue. Then you will spend less time on site and time will be less of a factor. Especially in the beginning, you should always assume that it will take you 3 times longer than you think :~) Good luck! Put the pix in the facebook group! (Either DIY Balloon Art or Beginning Balloon Professionals)
Sandi Masori Balloons Thank You Sandi You are awesome. How much time in advance. I read that if I inflate them in the house, the balloons will deflate once I take them outside. I was thinking to do them the night before but I'm kind of scared they will deflate once I put them outside.
ok I have a dilemma. I have my mothers and my daughters bday on the same day. one in the afternoon and one at night. my moms colors are (pink, black and white) and my daughters are (pink, white and purple). cant I just slide the balloons up and interchange a quad to change the colors or have to do a whole other one? time is limited..one woman show here lol
+strawberryvines It would be easier to just make two columns- if you try to slide them around you run the risk of getting friction tears. Once you get in the groove though, you'll be surprised how fast they go together :-)
