Yes but if remodel can you put blocking in the wall cavity's... through the wall paralle in framing...

That balloon framing would probably survive a Cat4 hurricane but I wouldn't smoke in it lol.

How hard/ costly would it be to add fire-resistant material, or simple block, to each cavity, to prevent vertical fire extension (similar question for any horizontal spaces)?

So how do we as carpentry learner's build good buildings and structures that create good fire blocks? I have heard of green wood? Also my school project is a van, because I have come to love conservation and the Vanlife. But I want to know, because it's important to learn, so that I can help be a good partner to my education in construction maintenance technology. It's gratitude for learning that I am here.
