I doubt balloons from Indy will reach the ocean. And in general it is the string on the balloon that gets entanbled in their mouth and throat that does the damage. These have no strings. Still...in my opinion the releases still are pointless
@djtom37 Have they biodegraded yet? I'm gonna say probably not quite. Still plenty of time for the remnants to be consumed/choked upon by dolphins/fish/turtles etcetera. There are littering laws in your community, right?

Latex balloons are not completely biodegradable, that is just a lie told by balloon sellers to justify tossing latex trash into the environment. Latex balloons last years, their burst & fallen remnants resemble food to innocent animals in search of a meal - killing them .. 40,000 pieces of ugly deadly trash, just for a fleeting moment of "excitement"..
latex come from a rubber tree. it will biodegrade. The chance of any sea animal eating something that lands on land is millions or more to one. In others words...really really small. These sea creatures are being murdered...killed with intent...and eaten by billions of people every day. yum... If you are truly concerned and want to act upon your conviction...Please be concerned about the fireworks on the forth of July. the Christmas swelling of usless Chinese made gifts that get used once and toss away or goes up in flames. The number of chickens, duck's, cows, goats. fish, etc that are murdered and eaten each day. please stand in the middle of the road and stop the McDonalds trucks from reaching the tens of thousands of McDonalds store where billions of people take part in the business of consuming these helpless fuzzy-wuzzy animals. Or just go live and a cave and eat leaves and save the plant
Please don't assume we don't 'act on our convictions'. We can handle a variety of issues at once. Latex from a rubber tree will biodegrade.. latex balloons contain added chemicals preventing them from truly biodegrading. Balloons & their burst fragments are deadly to animals on land & see. while im quite happy to see video of ppl espousing terrorism and feminists saying "kill all men", this video should be taken down. this is a crime against humanity, and this channel is promoting it to kids everywhere as something fun to do
