I always thought that as well, But then I got into dancing and figured the art style was to signify that dancers are going for the lower compressed shoulders and long neck. Incidentally, when the frame is right, the art in the anime and what it looks like in real life is quite similar.

that part at 2:57-3:02 with the guitar strum and quick turn step thing (lol I have no idea what it’s called) was awesome 👏🏼 Like, that was the part where I sat up and was like “WOAH”

funny enough that is a basic step in ballroom. with just the feet, I cant tell if it is waltz or quickstep, but in either case the figure would be the same. A simple pivot turn. It looks like it is a pivot turn to a fall away promenade. (and yes, I went full dance nerd on this, but I will happily blame this anime for turning me into one and picking up ballroom dancing myself)

@@magichydra1972its not finished. He still didnt had dance battle with hyudo kun and hanokasan so i think there is season 2 but i dont know when its going to come 😅

@@katarzynajackowska2482 the manga and the anime are quite similar, But it is nice to see this as an anime as they did an amazing job capturing how ballroom competitions are and feel.
