Introducing Episode 3 of Bally Peak Outlook’s 8x8000m Series - Makalu
Watch the next episode in our four-part documentary film series dedicated to the Bally Peak Outlook Foundation's 8x8000m pledge-our commitment to clean up the base camps of eight 8,000-meter Himalayan mountains.
Yankila Sherpa, a trailblazing entrepreneur, women's rights activist and chief advisor to the Nepal Mountaineering Association, narrates, speaking to the cultural and spiritual significance of the mountains to Himalayan communities.
Makalu was the third and most difficult mountain for our 47-day expedition, due to it having six different base camps that are spread along the length of the Barun Glacier. Five were cleaned, except for Makalu High Camp, totaling 604kg of waste removed.
