Ballyfermot is 70 - a look back in time 

I was baptized in Ballyfermot where my parents bunked in with the 'relis' in 1956 on Loch Conn Rd. When I was 1yo we moved to sunny Finglas. When I was about 7yo, 'me and me Da' stood on Bachelors Walk in the freezing cold waiting on a no. 34 bus to Finglas. As we waited, stamping our feet, beside the 'roundy' men's toilet, we counted 15 no. 79 buses passing us as they came around O'Connell Bridge. 'me Da' said "maybe we shudda stayed in Ballyer".
