This sounds like new songs from old chi cha songs from peru. Theres an old compilation that can be found on youtube. Another contemporary id like to see featured on KEXP should be LA LOM.

Columbian non-union Khruangbin and I love it. Sometimes being good is enough, you don't have to reinvent the wheel every time. I have no idea if Balthvs are inspired by Khruangbin or are just drawing from similar wellsprings, but it sounds very sweet to me. That's a pretty good wheel that Khruangbin found, why not let others take it out for a spin?

Not only me thinking this, check reviews etc. but hey if you like them, great for you. Second, "especially when K is the bigger band". What? Bigger bands are flawless and deserve no critic? Ok... That's called fanboyism. I like K a lot but I can criticize something. Third, "let's be humble"? What do you mean with that?
