Thank you so much! I'm new to inkle weaving and just finished my first plain weave creation. I picked up (no pun intended!) Heather Torgenrud's Norwegian Pickup Bandweaving and plan to apply her patterns using your pickup techniques on an inkle loom. I think I have a good starting place now, thank you thank you!
Thank you very much. I am confused by the difference between which ones you pick up and the chart, probably because I'm used to knitting charts. I will mark the pick up threads with a circle and by going through the video and hopefully will understand after a couple of repeats. Thanks again.

Hi, EdythMiller. Your video is very clear on how to weave in Baltic Style, but how do you warp your Inkle Loom for the Baltic Style Weaving? Do you have a pattern chart on how to warp?
For those of us that are kind of new to the inkle loom, yes, you change the sheds rather fast; I figure you have some kind of shortcut to changing the sheds.

When you put the yarn and your inkle. Loom in your directions does it tell you how many to put on your ankle how many numbers like one ready. To dredge I'm just learning saw this is what I me asking

If I understanding what you're asking, correct. The threads making up the sides of the band are "border" threads and not included in the chart. The chart is only mapping the threads used to create the pickup pattern. All other threads (referred to as background threads in the video) are ignored.

Good teaching but you are pulling yourweft thread too tightly and it is distorting the pattern. Using yarn for this is easy to see however carpet warp or even crochet thread is better fir an actual band if you’re planning to use it for a project.
No. Tablet weaving uses tablets or cards that have multiple holes in them that are threaded by the warp. The tablets are turned in sequence to create the patterns, twisting the warp threads around the weft as you go. Inkle weaving is a more “plain” type of weave, with a straight-forward up and down weaving technique.
