The container ship that hit the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Maryland appeared to lose power two times before hitting the bridge. #Baltimore #FrancisScottKey #Bridge
Ive worked on the water now for 8 years and i deal with Petroleum Barges and Ships. I have never seen a ship leave a port without an assist Tug.🤔 This shit is way too suspicious
@@davidbhart1867 a straight line in route to the pillar of the bridge... I am almost 100% sure this is an inside job. Too many things went wrong and seem calculated and not well covered up.
@@YakmonSaysItLikeItIs you cant tell you are heading towards a pillar until you get closer. The tugboats spun them around and got them going. They were many many blocks away from the bridge when the power went out the first time. There was plenty of time to correct if the power hadn't gone out. This video only shows the second time they lost power after they had already been heading towards the bridge for 30 minutes
As a singaporean I’m so sorry to the family who didn’t make the collapse of the bridge as unfortunately the ship belonged to my country and it waa an accident 🕊️😢
The ship didn't belong to your country, it belonged to companies in Singapore. Unless you were in charge of ship maintenance, you have nothing to apologize for.
@@BreakingfreefromthecrossTug boats left after the big turn at the start . Their job was done . Ship swayed slightly right after the power failure, hitting the pillar on the side of the wet road .
This Isn't Making Any sense It's Odd How Their saying Power went off or lost power be 4 it was getting ready to collide w/ Bridge Suddenly Lights Went out This Isn't Adding Up Invasion
I am no expert, but it seems to have been on the incorrect course. It appears it was not oriented on the channel correctly early on. It should have dropped anchor at 1:15 AM.
See how fast cars were coming across bridge before it happened and also how fast cops closed the bridge comments before it hits there's no way this was an accident
i live here and literally everyone in maryland was freaking out, i feel so bad. i’m so happy the Baltimore Orioles owner paid money to get the bridge fixed, but rest in peace for the workers who didn’t make it.
@@user-ol2pp1ps7pmay you reap what you sow, it’s not funny… go in the sun 👧🏻☀️😷, it’s gonna get real scary for 👧🏻 not just us. The judgement is coming get ready 😂
You would think that the tug boats would be around it until it got out of the bay! What do I know though, I’m just a guy living in Tempe AZ playing Golf in 70 degree weather!!! RIP Peeps!!! That has to be a very busy bridge during work hours!?
Yes. I 95 is right beside it . East Coast people take 195 , then this way 695 back to I 95. This barge had incident in 2016 also in European port . ( Business Insider ). Enjoy your weather. Stay safe .
Our sister lives just 10 minutes from the key bridge, she travels the key bridge to and from work everyday! We are praying for the families of those loved ones who died so tragically.😢😢😢
Fully loaded container ship striking the support -- there's a crapload of inertia there (I saw math from somebody but I was smoking dope during physics class so I can't decipher it). Some years ago, during a civic celebration for a 100-year-old bridge that I drive over every day, we got a crowd of @5,000 people jumping up and down and the engineers made us shut down the party because the bridge was starting to get all Galloping Gertie on us. Apparently they build these things for very specific stresses and dancing isn't one of them.
@@clintkaster6269distractions like these always have more to the story. This doesn’t just happen. Especially when our president quickly decides he wants tax payers to fund its rebuild. This was to crash the economy because multiple nations use this passage. The captain was Ukrainian, the flag on the ship was some other country, and we still have to pay for it from our pocket, even when both parties have insurance and are responsible. It’s definitely got some meat to the story
@@WhoopiCushionThis was an important federal Interstate bridge . Of cause any president caring about the country says to pay for the repair quickly, then hoping to get it back in the lawsuit later .
This is got to be the most uninformed comment. If it was an cyber attack the government wouldn't tell us. Brother, it was a cyber attack from the government, so yeah, they are not going to tell you shit. They are just gonna have you pay for it.
@@davidbhart1867 By a computer. This is 2024 bro. Everything is ran by computers. If a computer shuts down the engine shuts down, however that was a hard turn for a liner. Meaning it was an attack alright, but it was an attack once again from our own government. The same as 911 Bush was in charge of that!
At the point it first lost power. I would have said drop portside anchor and then hit a full-on move from the battleship movie to turn the ship and got it out into open ocean and then I would have made sure the bridge was safe
This incident is frighteningly similar to the Sunshine skyway bridge collapse, back in 1980 in Florida. Both were caused by cargo ships that crashed into bridges after an incident, causing a partial or complete collapse of the bridge. Both sadly had deaths associated with them.
The smoke is their efforts to whilst powering forward etc then trying to get the ship to start slowing- reverse pretty much last ditch effort before hitting
Question -- who is literally sitting in the water ready to film the disaster? Just saying !?? Can you give credit to the location or something ? Seems really shady that there is a “in water” camera right in front of the ship?
you know there will be a few good things that come out of this…. Number one those in charge failing with their emergency procedures, go to jail…… number two all new bridges will have 100 foot underwater retaining wall to stop these accidents on bridge piers
Will have to be strong to bump back a 95,000 ton ship, 948 ft long, 4700 units not fullu loaded. And this is mid size. The Evergreen can carry 20,000 + units.
A long crumbling wall can stop the ship the same way the desert shore stopped the Evergiven . This bridge was built for lighter weight ships that would not hit that weak point .
Its a coincidence no cars were on bridge??? And bridge went down before boat hit no way that boat will take out a bridge the way it went down looked like controlled demolition.
There should have been a tug boat always when there is bridge on the way out to outer sea. Bcos the propeller will have load strain when manovering. Cost saving by the port or incompetent port authority
It's amazing 2day we have zero information on what happened?? All footage is amateur, , no cameras under or around the bridge, no tugs, no emergency generators, no press, no news, no update on victims driving across as this was happening no nothing....
I heard the ship lights went out and kinda lost it's brakes so it kinda went too fast and The news said the pilots was an Indian and Mexican who was driving it
@@BeAHappyCamper2Dayorrrrr maybe accidents just HAPPEN. We don’t live in a perfect utopian world and everything we engineer is absolutely perfect. Stuff happens and not everything is a conspiracy. I swear TikTok is turning normal people skitzo
Why they followed normal protocol and procedures. Even if they had what could they do once under away at 8 knots a tug boat could do next to nothing to a ship of that tonnage.
Big ah boat- they should know better bro- look what they did- it's crazy I remember when I was putting on my uniform for school and I just see this on the News-
Sad day our thoughts and best wishes go to all the families who have lost loved ones in this tragedy, tug boats cost money to use again how much is a worker life worth did they use tugs ?
These are messed up and sad times, first of all, this ship knew where it was going, it was a planned attack. Second, so many weird things have happened in this year, shootings, invasions, more earthquakes, and wildfires, this earth is getting messed up..
Why they don't stop imidiatly the engines after the first light problem? That was no normal incident! This is the reason why many countries have their own trained captains to steer ships SAFELY out of their home ports! Now see what happens when you rely on strangers! Luckily this accident happened at night! Otherwise there would have been many deaths!
The ship and crew were from India. Probably had some engine room lever tied back with strings and duct tape that didn’t hold. Safety protocols are optional in India
Some thing like this incident certainly brings out the tinfoils, the xenophobes and the ignorant. For a start the ship is owned by Singapore-based Grace Ocean Private Ltd and leased by Mearsk a huge Danish shipping company. Secondly, If you knew anything about international maritime shipping you would know all ships of this size must meet international safety and maintenance standards. They are independently certified so it doesn’t matter where the crew are from dispute your xenophobic stereotyping.
