A controlled demolition involving explosives removed a massive span of the Francis Scott Key Bridge atop the Dali cargo ship. Baltimore officials delayed the demolition twice over the weekend due to high winds.

The ship is firmly grounded. It didn't move at all during or after the explosion. Which ask the question did it ground before it hit the bridge, slowing it down before impact?

Looks like half the charges further from the ship did not go off so wait an hour check all the charge locations rewire as needed and fire the second setup. Stuff happens when bits of metal are flying around. If det cord was used but not double pathed same problem.

That will take much further time, too, to clean it up. And a lot of People/ Companies will still have to wait for their Containers, too.

the reason that the freight containers are not ... have not been off loaded .. at least the bow area .. is so obvious that I cannot see it.

The front compartments were flooded to keep the ship in place when the bridge trusses fell off. The water will now be pumped out to lighten the ship and allow it to be removed.

Crew need to maintain the vessel. Suppose they need to do correct it because the water is moving it. They need a crew for that

FYI, believe it or not, they were gonna be on the Vessel heading to Sri Lanka with an ETA 4/22 anyhow, so they had a month-long voyage, which is why they were in such a rush after the left us. These folks always have tons of food and supplies, and they’re doing just fine onboard, last I heard. Although it seems inhumane, the reality is they cannot legally get off the Vessel here, and they’re very use to being on these things for months at a time.
