We have been out of the Baltimore Terminal 5 times on 7 cruises so far. Had a couple of Back to Backs. We have found that it is probably the easiest to get to and get through. We also appreciated the outside facilities so we could go. It is very clean and in a central location.
This is a FANTASTIC video, Mrs. Jelly Bean!!!! THANK YOU!!! We prefer to sail from Baltimore, since we can drive there in about 3 hours. It's been 10 years since we sailed, but are booked for January!!!!
Your videos are always clear and informative. I've left from Baltimore several times, most recently in March for the Carnival Sailabration. Parking adds to vacation expenses but everything is so extremely convenient, I'm willing to pay!
I'm leaving when it's relatively cold as well do you know how long it took before y'all got to warmer weather because I'm sure it open ness on the boat makes it cold. I've never been on a cruise before so this is new to me so don't laugh
We did not personally see anybody walking in, but we did drive the route and it seemed very walkable. What you see on Google Maps streetview is what it looked like during our drive.
I plan to use your parking area for my cruise on December 1 thru 9. Any chance parking will be available for a noon scheduled check in on December 1st?
It seems that if you arrive by Uber or Lyft there is going to be an accessibility problem. Cruisers who don’t need to park their cars are an exception here, and I don’t see how they are accommodated with simplified entry to check in for a cruise, or pick up and drop off of passengers. That’s probably one of the reasons I have never wanted to cruise out of Baltimore. Other cities such as New York, and New Jersey have walk up access to their terminal building. I in fact arrived at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal by cab from Penn Station. Baltimore should be the same.
Like we mention in the video, we don't recommend arriving significantly early for your boarding time because of the passengers disembarking from the previous cruise. The entire port area is very compact, so arriving 15-30 minutes before your boarding time should be plenty. Hope you enjoy your cruise!
When you walk into the building there’s a sign that says “ 6:17 Diamond, Platinum and Faster To The Fun.” We sailed out of there last year and were onboard less than half an hour after parking. It was so efficient.
looking at possibly taking a cruise on the Legend in Feb 23....is it possible to walk from the cruise port to the grocery store/hotel area? I don't drive at all so the logistics of flying in and getting to the port ( a day early maybe) are just a bit baffling.
It's walkable in terms of distance (about 10-15 minutes), but you may want to contact the cruise terminal to find out if they allow people to walk in/out of the terminal area.
It really depends on where your cruise is going, but if you're headed south, it should only be a day or less before it's warmer. It really just depends on the weather.
Both Carnival and Royal Caribbean allow you to print your luggage tags after completing check-in. You can take some carry-on bags with you, but we highly recommend taking advantage of the luggage drop-off for bags you won't need until your room is ready mid-afternoon (or later).
@@TheHuffyMatt Check-in is usually done online or through the app a couple weeks before embarkation. Check with your specific cruise line for detailed info.
We recommend you contact Cruise Maryland directly so they can give you the most accurate information. You can information to call or write via their website: cruise.maryland.gov/Pages/contact-us.aspx
There didn't appear to be any issues when we sailed out of the port. If you look at the very beginning of the video, you can see some open spots still available and that video was recorded shortly before we sailed away. The relatively smaller ships sailing out of the port likely helps with the parking situation.
Hello! I am sure it is not an issue as it would be no different than a friend or family member dropping someone off. They have a separate lane for drop offs & pick ups.
