This is the tourist area. Walk toward city hall and you will definitely see something. Nothing like walking past a block full of dirty strip clubs to get to city hall. The tourist area is really nice, just don't leave that area or you will end up in some situations that will have you in John Hopkins Hospital.
The real United States is great , amazing .The fake media, which are those demeaning our countries in stories on the tv tube or on the internet tube. Notice how every city has a dozen stories declaring they're the worst. Those are fake by a large bureaucracy aimed at destroying us. See the real country , travel , stay away from those , theyre like a dictator fermenting unrest
I miss Baltimore. I just visited it once but will get a chance again after 34 yrs.and this time I'll see all the same sites , plus Camden Yard and the B. & O. Roundhouse Train Museum . Great location. Close to 3 cities
@@TheHyperSkittlez Take notes from this video and come down for a visit. Baltimore is a small city and it has good and bad areas like any other city. Towson and Owings Mills are great places to live in Baltimore County but still close to the city. Baltimore's food scene is growing and Washington D.C. is about an hour away whether You want to drive or take Amtrak or the Marc train.
@@TheHyperSkittlez I love it here! I live in a condo with my mom. I walk to the inner harbor. There are really good places to eat. The Aquarium is really nice. I feel very safe here.
Even though most of Baltimore is kind of sketchy, I went in 2015, and LOVED it! I went to the aquarium, science center, Urban Pirates, and I even went to an Orioles game against my Yankees! I was lucky to go that few days, because after a few weeks from that, the Inner Harbor area was all civil unrest due to Freddie Grey’s death. I was devastated to hear that, but I will be eventually going back to see another Orioles game against the Yanks, and maybe check out Fell’s Point, downtown Baltimore, and Little Italy.
“Baltimore is in pretty good shape” I have never heard these words before! Thanks for your video and shedding light on safe places to visit in Baltimore. I have lived in maryland for 6 years now and except for the occasional event at the Sagamore we never really like to venture in that area. Well done
Constructive criticism: The water there is the Baltimore Harbor which leads out to the Patapsco River (at Ft McHenry) which leads out to the Chesapeake Bay which, in turn leads to the Atlantic Ocean. Born and raised in Baltimore and spent lots and lots of time around the water. When I was a kid, that whole area where you filmed at Harborplace was "skid row". The road was lined with bars and pool halls and drunks were seen all over the place. That was back in the late 40's, early 50's. Hope you don't mind me giving you this information. Beautiful place and you have done a great job with this video. Amazed at the improvements. Don Hooper Ocala, Fl
Baltimore is such a fun city to hang out in. Thanks for showing how nice of a place it is. Everyone that doesn't know Baltimore wants to act like the crime is all there is to it and nothing else
1st of November 2022. Honestly myself and wife from New York are considering moving to other cities and she feels Baltimore and Washington DC is that place and am here to know more about your great city.
Thank you for your informative video showing why they call my hometown "Charm City". Baltimore gets a bad rap but there are many parts that are quite unique and still wonderful. I very much enjoyed your video but it made me homesick😊! !
Wow! I’m from Ny, and I remember 16 years ago in High School meeting a new classmate who told me he and his brother had just moved from Baltimore at the time. I remember him explaining to me how bad it was as far as crime and everything. And how that was really the reason for his family moving. But here in this video it looks so beautiful. Makes me want to visit! I suppose in every city, you have the good and the bad. I’ve only ever driven through in route to other destinations, and something about it does kind of draw me in. This video right here really is beautiful though.
Yeah Baltimore is not on the best spotlight, but they have made good progress though! The crime significantly decreased due to the pandemic and it's no longer on the top ten most dangerous cities list which is amazing! The city will surely see a comeback in 2023-2025. Forgot to add, Baltimore is becoming more and more relevant when it comes to tech which give it an even better chance for a turn around.
Baltimore has 600,000 residents in the city down from 1.3 million at his highest. Together with Washington DC it’s now the third most populous metro area in the nation. It passed Chicago and now solidly holds number three and rapidly growing its metro area. It was 6th largest U S city in population in 1975. The year I left there and entered the military. I reside in Florida still visit time to time.
I've been living in Federal Hill for almost 20 years. (Just Around the Inner Harbor) It really is A beautiful City with lots to offer. Sadly the media will have you thinking it's a battleground.
@pSL 1988 it’s no different from any other city…you have your good areas and your bad areas…..don’t believe the negative press however if you visit, just use common sense like any other big city you visit.
Very good video, thoroughly enjoyed your informative yet calm and relaxed style. I have a friend from Peru who is moving to Baltimore next month (March) and I plan to visit the city in the near future to explore the best parts of it :)
I'm from Baltimore living in the suburbs now about 15 mins away. Baltimore is a great place just don't go a few blocks west, east, north and south and you will be fine. Stay in the downtown area and a couple blocks front there. Every city has there bad areas. Media really blows Baltimore out if proportion. Yes it has a lot of shootings but that's because of drugs activity in the bad areas just like other cities once again for example Detroit.
I am considering renting an office in Downtown Baltimore to be close to the Amtrak yet I hear there is danger and poverty ... I want to be somewhere lively and walkable and affordable yet not a war zone.
Even though most of Baltimore is kind of sketchy, I went in 2015, and LOVED it! I went to the aquarium, science center, Urban Pirates, and I even went to an Orioles game against my Yankees!
@@lalaland9646 That was last year around this time. I guess every city has it's good and bad. I was downtown. I forgot the area. Nice hotels and friendly people. I met people like I had known them for years. 😂 I went for 3 days and stayed for 2 weeks. Later I left downtown and went to another part of town about 30 minutes away. Wasn't as nice but had a lot of shops and restaurants that I needed. Overall great time. Thanks for reminding me of my trip. Brings back good memories.
@@lalaland9646 Congrats!!! Personally for a up north city the hospitality felt more down south. Really nice people. It's a place I can see myself moving to in the future. Best of luck
I especially liked the boat thing that cleans trash out of the water. Are you using a pole to get your camera so high during a few walking scenes? Did you fly a drone for those downtown sky shots?
Thats a Mr. Trash Wheel that cleans up the harbor using solar panels and a conveyor belt. Great Invention! Congrats on 50K Jeff, people like your videos.
Great channel! In Russia it is watched with great interest. But in order to raise the interest of any viewers, you need to periodically include people in the video. Someone from the local folk.
Thank you so much for giving Baltimore such a lovely review!! It's the best kept secret on the East Coast -- and you caught it on a day that embodies "The Land of Pleasant Living", Maryland's nickname! Fells Point was my stomping grounds growing up, and you captured the old and new of it! Charm City at its best!! You must incorporate Fort McHenry and the National Aquarium for outdoor activities, and the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture on your next visit!
How bad is it? Are they belligerent or bothering people? Like swarms? Im choosing where to move right now and only LA and New York scare me lol. Im from oc. Is it as bad as dtla?
I love Baltimore💜beautiful Charm city 🏙️🏙️shoutouts East BALTIMORE federal hill fells point Boston St. Canton and shoutouts to my Partner T. He from Bmore
ok people can we just relax and enjoy the nice things to do in baltimore? every place or city has crime or bad areas. just fuckin relax and takevin take in the good good elements. and stop being so vanilla and suburban.
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND IS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE. BECAUSE IT'S HAS A LOT OF HISTORY,CULTURE TOO. I LIVED WITH MY WIFE KATHLEEN G. PERKINS FOR 10 YEARS. BEFORE MY WIFE KATHLEEN G. PERKINS DICIDED TO BRING ME BACK TO MODESTO, CALIFORNIA 95351 STANISLAUS COUNTY IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY.
i have to say not the city i remember, what a job they have done since i bid balmer good riddance. real happy for the folks who can even enjoy, afford, embrace the improvements. most of downtown was a shithole,, like any others. i still rout for the ravens, poe, & the birds. orioles, are flying high, hope they win the big one. ps: i left bmore aprox. 43 yrs ago, now in santa rosa, ca. happy to e here 4 sure. tnks to hopper, for the good showing of my home town. pss. in all balmer is, im still happy to be from a place of such character
This just highlights how segregated US Cities are. Baltimore has like a 70% Black population right? Yet not 1 Black person is seen in the Inner Harbour or Fells Point, with the nice clean streets and the tourists.
@@SuperIreallydontcare I didn't say it was to do with Systemic racism, but literally every video i've seen of the Inner Harbor and Fells point etc, there has been literally no Black people around, which is quite strange considering it's a City with a majority Black population
Yea for a newbie Baltimore is great during the daytime. Now at night: Born & raised here and omg whitelock & mondawmin mall - you can’t go to that easily. What about Cherry Hill & East side 🤣 Dummie! Y’all be safe enjoying bmore - it’s nice but Also it’s a “Bitch we from Baltimore” type of place🤷🏽♀️
@@nathanburget grew up in Baltimore. You didn't need body armor or checking you rear view mirrors to see if some black thug is going to jack you. Thankfully, I now carry and I AM on somewhat I match for these punks.
@@elvisbrooke8060 Baltimore weather has it all from cold winters where it can go from below zero fahrenheit to 100 in the summer. For health, we have two incredible teaching university hospitals Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland. For work, we have a lot of businesses, nonprofits, and government opportunities. DC is an hour away for even more.
