No it wasn't - Lamar repping himself was the issue. Lamar didn't attend the conferences he had next to zero connections to other team front offices. That's why it's crucial to hire an agent - they have relationships with everyone in the NFL. When the rumors started that Lamar wanted a Watson deal he didn't have anyone out there saying it wasn't true and no NFL team other than the Browns is stupid enough to give a contract that large fully guaranteed.

Still doing this, huh? Like the AFC is use to him and figured it out. Lamar only has a losing record against the Steelers and the Chiefs. Against those teams, he's 3-8. The entire rest of the AFC he has lost only 12 games. If you remove KC and PIT, Ravens record against the rest of the NFL with LJ as starting QB is 60-13 (62-16 if you include playoffs). Of course, dumber was saying that maybe "it's a fluke". Whatever.

I love how they make the excuse that the NFC isn't prepared for Lamar. They've had years to prepare for Lamar. Could it be that the NFC is just *INFERIOR* to the AFC? Why yes, yes it could be! It could even be that the NFC is a like the minor leagues of the NFL.

For real. Obviously it hurt to lose Mike MacDonald and everything, but this new guy just isn't ready to be a DC in the NFL. Our defense is so much worse than the roster is capable of given the talent, and the responsibility must lay with the DC. We can't rely on lucky interceptions to win games. Realize that as much as our offense popped off, it was like a 9 point game at the end. Without those 2 interceptions, we could have actually lost. I get the next man up philosophy, but for the defensive coordinator? You can't just take some random dude in the organization and throw him in there and hope for the best. Orr is not a good DC. Look how many blown coverages and bad looks we have defensively. We have a talented defense! This is just bad coaching, plain and simple.
