Balto - Deleted Scene "The Barrel Scene"

A deleted scene from Balto (1995). The storyboards are arranged in a way that makes sense although is not official. But I tried my best to recreate how this scene might have played out!
Also some of the storyboards and screenshots had to be redrawn because of poor image quality, they're marked with "Fan Redrawing" on the topleft. It was really fun to redraw them, the charcoal storyboards for this movie are beautiful and well-made, just the same as the final animation.

I like this one, it gives Balto a reason to care about Rosie rather than just being Jennas Human. Rosie was nice to him and understood that other dogs bullied him.

I knew two Malinois met dog-wolf, it was dogs of good character, I admit to being attracted by this type of crossing there - Malinois x saarloos wolf dog = Saarlinois - Malinois x Czechoslovak wolfhound = Czechonians. (looks pretty good) in my dog breeding project, I’m talking about creating a model breeding based on anti-consanguinity. (I test even in virtual, it is possible by mixing breeds) small bonus: - the more heterogeneous the dogs are, the more resistant they are to common diseases; which saves them the vaccines. therefore,(an immune dog is not vaccinated, otherwise the protection become poison, due to the sensitivity of certain resistance genes, which is the reason for which, to never do) I’m very interested in immunity, for dog breeding which here would focus on real bastard and real (mutts) (dog : chien )

Calm down a bit there they're drawings. You didn't meet him the real balto died a long time ago. And he wasn't part wolf either they just made him part wolf in the movie to make it more interesting

I wish that an extended version of Balto would be made. The original with these deleted scenes, but sadly that will never happen. I still think a remake could use these deleted scenes.

You should check out Disney’s Togo. Many dog teams (about 20 teams and 100 dogs) worked to get the medicine, Balto just had the 55mile last leg of the journey, Togo ran about 260 miles. The other teams averaged 30miles each. Or at least that’s what I found when I researched it.

The scene I wish they kept in was the ending when the rest of the dogs rejected Steele for leaving them behind. They didn't have to kill Steel off but they could have at least showed the scene when Star finally stood up to Steele.

You know I’m glad this thing didn’t make it into the films because it makes me even hate steele even more because people would hate the scene if the scene made it in the film in the Pollywood in the rankings of the film would’ve gone down low

@@sojintachibana5305 No, when they interviewed the director of Balto and they ask him about this, the director said that him and the crew simply thought that this scene was just dragging too much time. So it was simply reanimated to show Rosy's father kicking snow at Balto instead.

And it also gives me a curiosity of what IF Amazon prime’s THE BOYS universe crossed with BALTO since we ALREADY got one of the versions of what if Superman was EVIL in the HUMAN version well if you ask me they SHOULD also cover the idea of what if Superman’s dog kryto was a wolf and was evil as well in other words the K9 wolf version of HOMELANDER that BALTO has to stop somehow?

Though those scenes are rather short and there's barely any official dialog so this video is probably my last Deleted Scene video I'll upload to RU-vid.

There's an interview with the director of Balto 1, Simon Wells, where he talks about why the barrel sequence was cut out of the film. (Near the end of the interview.) Basically, this scene was cut because it was too long and it didn't add much to the film that wasn't already done better by other scenes. @@blueotter5954 The movie did have a small budget (less than a 3rd of what Disney was spending on animated movies), according to the interview it was probably more a decision to streamline the story since this scene had repeated story beats that were already done in other scenes, and more time should've been spent on the main story. (just my guess)

Honestly and in truth I’m personally beginning to get VERY interested in a WHAT IF? BALTO met another OUTCAST wolf 🐺 but UNLIKE BALTO himself THIS guy is literally the wolf version of the joker from the 2019’s fIlm JOKER 🃏 and can also intertwine the whole one went one way and one went the OTHER, much like Batman and the joker themselves did in Batman the killing joke.
