Bambi: The Multiplane Effect 

The multiplane even had exhaust ports that could be used to introduce certain exhausts that helped create blurring effects, to make it look like you were seeing through gasses whenever there were scenes with fire.

Seeing these methods of animation that go beyond the basic frame by frame motivates me to go back animating

This was a difficult and incredible technique! We take modern CGI tools for granted.

My love for animation started with a bonus feature at the end of my VHS of Bambi explaining how they made it I wish I could find it again, it was my favorite documentary!

This is hard work from Disney when they use for Animation for Bambi. But now with CGI and Animation like the first CGI with animation what else but Beauty And The Beast In 1991 was shown here in the Philippines in 1992 and they won for the Oscars. Not the same as the Little Mermaid was never been won for the Oscars in 1990 one year before Beauty And The Beast In 1991

This was such a cool technique…I remember on the Bambi dvd or maybe the VHS version had a behind the animation portion of all the animators at their separate tables doing all of the animations. So very cool. So talented.

That were not just cartoon but genuine art paint!
