Bamboo Strawberry Bed 

Last year, I built a bamboo raised bed so I could plant strawberries. I didn’t add a soil barrier to the sides when building it, and of course, I’d only want something organic, but I added this step in the video. I’d like to fix the bed so weeds don’t grow out the sides. When building, don’t put the poles too close or it’s hard to weave. I broke a couple of poles! I used hardware cloth to keep out voles, and added rocks to the corner gaps. The mulch I used on top is actually organic mushroom compost. It acts like a mulch. This year, I’ll work on making the bed a little better and maybe come up with a soil barrier on the sides, but for now my strawberries are happy and producing!
