Thank you for your feedback. Yes, it's not easy. I am already painting for a long time and I still think that I am not good enough. ;-D But when I watch my first videos here, I can see the progress in my painting, so it's always a matter of training.
Gorgeous. But I don’t understand why the wide lighter colored stalks were not put down first so they don’t make a line through the first darker leaves?☀️
In this case, it makes no difference if you do the lighter colors first, or the darker. it's just layers of ink so the dark layers will always be the lines you see. If you don't want to have other layers shine through, you must not paint that particular area. For example: when you paint a cherry blossom, you'll have to paint the branch with empty spaces so you can put in the blossoms. In my case, the reason I painted the dark lines first, is, that the dark ink (less water) will dry much faster so I can start the next layer (the stalks) faster. If I would do the stalks first, I would have to wait almost 20 minutes until the water of the light ink is dried. After painting the dark leaves, I just have to wait 5 minutes until I can go on. Another reason is, that the water makes the paper wavy, so it would be harder to paint the dark leaves. When I paint the stalks last, I don't have that problem.
