Man the level of those fighters despite being their debut or second fight is amazing. So crazy to see the diference in levels between my country and uk.
@@timecoder9899 If that happened, for a longer period, it would be illegal-ish, i guess.. Holding the glove instead of the wrist, is a cheat-move, if it is on purpose.
@Lerub Skars I would expect many boxers have harder punches because that is what they train for and nothing else, meaning no kicks, elbows, or grappling. But MMA is closer to fighting and expertise in one discipline will not get you very far. I love boxing but I don't make many comparisons between MMA and other disciplines such as boxing, Thai boxing, or jiu jitsu. All of those and more are part of the MMA mix.
@@Chief2Moon There seems to be a learning curve involved in being an MMA fan. Before I understood what was happening, I used to hate it when a fight went to the ground. As you listen and learn about and begin to actually see what good grapplers and submissions people are doing, you really get into what is happening everywhere, standing, on the fence, or on the ground. That just takes a while. If he really turns it off when it hits the ground, he will never get it and will be the most casual of fans. His loss.
Macnutz420 I'm an "old timer", I only wrestled&boxed "in the day"40-50yrs ago. Karate was just catching on, judo was done too, Jiu Jitsu was still a Japanese art,not a Brazilian one, and MMA wasn't "born yet". As I say, I only wrestled&boxed but I have an appreciation for all the other forms of combat sports that weren't really in existence in highschool&college, or in my 20's&30's. Now all these things are big as boxing was in my day.
