Today, we're actually celebrating four years of Rocking Vader. Four years!!! Can you believe it? Well, I for sure can't, and it's been an incredible ride so far thanks to all of you, my dear friends. Words can't possibly express my gratitude for your ongoing support, your amazing feedback, the talks we've had - some of them funny, some of them pretty deep -, the collaborations, the new friendships, the shoutouts and reactions... it's really hard to wrap my head around this, since it all started out with this silly little idea of recording drum covers dressed up as the greatest movie villain of all times. So, from the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU! Sincerely, this channel wouldn't longer exist without you guys, and I honestly appreciate every single one of you. That being said, of course we need something special for this kind of celebration. And what would be more fitting than the reveal of a brand new drum kit? That's right, I've been jealous of the Drumtrooper's epic SIMMONS kit for quite a while now, so I finally got myself a similar one in the only colour that truly reflects my soul. And for breaking it in, I picked the amazing 80's Dance hit VENUS by British girl group BANANARAMA. It's a cover of a Rock song by Dutch band SHOCKING BLUE, originally released in 1969. Bananarama released their epic cover as a single of their third studio album TRUE CONFESSIONS in 1986. And as you might be able to tell, playing that originally programmed beat live on a drum kit is quite a workout. So I really hope you're going to enjoy this one, and thanks again to all of you for being a part of my musical journey through space. :-)
