The perfect video for this remix. This is the only one I have found that doesn’t chop off the last minute+ of it. I can’t say enough great things about it.
I still remember watching them on American Bandstand in the 1980's. Between 1983-1986 there wasn't an Act either from England, Australia or even Norway (A-Ha) who wasn't on the Show. Kids born in the 1990's are discovering them and they love them.
Today only, I listened to this song more than 10 times. The excessive groove in beat, rhythm, and not uptight but somewhat hang loose dancing of hers stimulates the sensors in my brain comfortably.
Always loved this version!!! (I remember so many clubs playing this version back in the day with the video.) SO great to rediscover it again after all these years. Thanks so much for posting it.
@@MatrixDiscovery ....It was a COVER, and, sounds NOTHING like the Psych-Rock of the original (the BEST way to do a cover); ...S/A/W PAID for the licensing, and made MILLIONS off what the 'Nana's 'ripped off'.....
Hard to believe the women in each of those roles is one of the singers, Make The 80s Great again, to all of you Gen X'ers and gen Z'ers join me in making the 80s generation of music come back to life. We the Gen Z are the children of Gen X their style of music is what we grew up with. I have a channel that i am working on to bring back alot of the 80s music and movie themes of the 80s cartoons and tv shows such as Macgyver, Airwolf, He Man, and so on. Still one of the best remixes to the song i have ever heard
I had this extended version on a vinyl record, and I played the hell out of it. Then I lost it when someone broke into my rented garage and stole all my old records from the 1960s and beyond, plus all my other stuff. I got a $6,000 check from my insurance company, but I'd rather have "my stuff." Especially this record.
Thanks to vinyl making a comeback, finding this record should be easy peasy. I'm old school. I'd be hitting these record stores that are popping up everywhere. Good luck. Hope you find it.
I just realized something else. They have alot in common with Girls Aloud. They both were managed by Hilary Shaw and worked with Pete Waterman, and they both had to "Fight" to get certain singles. For them it was This Song, and Girls Aloud it was "The Promise". Hard to believe Girls Aloud will celebrate overall 20 Years. That's quite an achievement especially in today's music age.
There hasnt been a song where i like literally all the mixes (and damn there are many just for this song) except this and other Bananarama songs- the album version, this mix, the Hellfire mix (my favorite) are all so good in their own way. Same for "I Heard a Rumor" i appreciate each version.
This video is a classic and these girls put their signature on a vintage song. The gay clubs played the hell outta this remix and my gay ass was on the dance floor !!!👍🏾😜
I would have loved to Interview them. I would have asked them, "What did you think of the Girlbands who came after you knowing that they are riding on your shoulders in many ways, also in your opinion what makes UK Girlbands different from US Girlbands.
Another fun thing I would love for someone to do is do a Tribute Album to "Them". Have other Girlbands "Cover" their Songs from The Saturdays, Little Mix, even Girls Aloud & The Spice Girls with Today's Technology.
