I'm 98 yrs old and I love my Bananarama. They are the greatest artists of all time.

This is back when no one questioned lip syncing, but who cares. They are awesome no matter what.

God they were gorgeous. They were humble too. They never acted like they were stuck up stars. They remind me of the members of ABBA & Eddie Van Halen in their humbleness. EVH, once when asked how does it feel being revered like some guitar god & being featured on the covers of all the magazines of the day, said "I don't know about all that. I'm just a punk kid who loves to play guitar I'm not a star nor special I'm just one of the guys" Ummmm, if that's not the understatement of all time I don't know what is. Well, these ladies were like that. They could dance too. Every single one of them. I don't know who I like best because I love them all. Sorry, but if you weren't around when Bananarama was at their peak.................I cannot explain how awesome a time it was to you, and I won't even try.

What I liked about Bananarama is that they never made any false claims .. they never claimed to be good singers or dancers, they were just three ordinary girls who happened to be in the right place at the right time and made the most of it, they never got carried away with their own hype or had any ideas of grandeur ... brilliant stuff

Hearing this brings back for me happy memories of dancing with some friends to this song at a club in West Los Angeles in July 1986. I was in my early 20s, having graduated from college 3 months earlier. It was one of the happiest, most carefree moments of my life, the 8 weeks I spent in Southern California during that glorious summer of 1986.

Song came out in the US in the late Summer of 1986 and got to #1 in early September of '86.

I always had a thing for Siobhan. Still do. Her face is just so intriguing. Oh, and this is one of THE best lip- synching performances ever.

Absolutely love Bananarama. Brilliant. Never took themselves too seriously but their music was fantastic. Nothing really rehearsed (but that was the way it was in the 80s...the IG generation wouldnt understand) but they were always brilliant. Actually seeing them this week (tomorrow) at Chelmsford racecourse

In fact, Bananarama has yet to have a #1 (or a #2, for that matter) hit in the UK. It Ain't What You Do, Shy Boy, Robert DeNiro's Waiting, Love In The First Degree, and a cover of The Beatles' Help, all placed at #3 or #4 on the charts.
