A wild onride on a banana boat during a boat tour with the "Bahia Cat" in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. The short ride was offered as a complimentary add on to the dolphin tour booked during our holiday. The non-motorized towboat is pulled by a motorboat and is shaped like a floating banana. Passengers wearing life jackets sit one behind the other on one of the two middle tubes, which are equipped with handles. Due to the good stability, the banana is much easier and safer to use than water skis and surfboards, making it a popular leisure activity for children and adults alike. The boat can accommodate up to 10 people. When cornering, the relatively high speed is particularly noticeable due to the water fountains splashing sideways and ensures a high fun factor.
