Band Kids Play Music for Homeless People-Amazing Reactions

This is part 2 of our trip to Hollywood. We set up by homeless people asking for money on the streets of Hollywood. We played a few songs and put our cases out for money. Then we gave the money to them and talked to them about their stories and situation. Many of them cried and were very touched. It also got a little scary and unusual with one or two. Hope you enjoy this video- we had a lot of fun making it and overall, it was a great day!

Omagawd they played Moanin’ Ive always wanted to hear Nathaniel play the bari sax line for that. We started playing Moanin’ for our high school jazz band before the schools were shut down. This was good to hear, as well as the other songs!

I absolutely loved seeing blanket guy going to town on the trapset. It really showed how much he loved getting even small opportunities like this. As a percussionist in the middle east I just really enjoy seeing people like him who share my same passion.

I've been homeless in Hollywood (but less deserving than those you raised money for -- I had a job and a car and slept at work or sometimes in motels after payday and hid from the night shift, but even sleeping in a car, people call the cops on you for it). It's a ROUGH life. Thank you for doing this. It's a cause that's close to my heart, because it's SO hard to escape. I've come to a better situation myself thanks to the help of family, but I really appreciate you doing this for people who don't have the help that I got.

An old band- friend and I used to be bell-ringers at Christmastime. We ditched the bells and brought instruments. Sometimes I sang carols while she played, too. We got SO much money in the bucket!
