Thanks Luniversed! After Life about a year old. Since then album Unseen World... singles "Warning!", "Manners". Also online performances on their YT channel. All rockin' good.
They haven't made any details of the 2022 US tour, yet. But this tour is going to be an extensive one unlike their previous US tours in which they visited only 3 cities at most. Miku and Sai-chan said about this information in their radio program of Jan. 5th. So this time, they are going to visit 6 or more cities in US...probably😏
Is there 'life after' Band-Maid? Maybe. But it won't be the same. And I'd miss my aching 7 year smile. Miku's "after life" came once she quit the maid café thing and started Band-Maid. Thank you Miku! And thank you Jerome for bringing Band-Maid to your great viewers!
FROM JAPAN ◆ Thank you for your reaction to BAND-MAID. BAND MAID is celebrating its 9th year of formation. BAND was formed by a girl who came to Tokyo from a local city of Japan to become a singer when she was about 19 years old. Five unique and talented girls gathered. The members have not changed, and they are continuing their efforts to improve their playing ability. They are constantly writing new songs and cool songs. Three new songs were released at the end of October. BAND MAID is a hard rock band, but it's a very diverse band. Listen to different types of songs. 1 Thrill : The first music video that saved them from dissolution. Classic rock 2014 2 Sense : The theme song of the anime "Platinum End". Dramatic, fast hard rock with a classic intro. 2021.10 3 Bubble : A tribute to the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, funky rock 4 Different : First anime opening song, new sense of high-speed rock. Anime is Log Horizon 3rd season. 2020.12 5 Daydreaming : Beautiful power ballad. Saiki and Kobato vocals and Kanami's guitar solo are wonderful. 6 Dice : Rhythmic hard rock singing women's independence 7 about us : A gift for fans who cannot meet in a pandemic. Beautiful ballad. 2021.02 8 Freedom : A power rock that walks around the stage and conveys a smile. The transition from drum solo to lead guitar is the best. 9 Manners : Declaration to create new hard rock while inheriting classic rock. Cool hard rock. Rock'n'Roll never die. 10 alone : The song they wrote, composed and released for the first time. Medium speed Hard Rock 2016 11 Secret My Lips & Secret Maiko Lips : Funky Hard Rock. A gift for fans of April Fool's Day . 12 Blooming : Vocals and chorus are impressive, and various types of music are fused. 13 RINNE : High-speed rhythmic heavy rock, inspired by the Japanese horror movie "RINNE : Reincarnation". RINNE (Reincarnation) is also found in Eastern thought and Buddhist thought. 14 onset : Instrumental song for lead singer Saiki breaks, their great playing power and harmony. 15 Before Yesterday : Record of the first overseas performance, Sakura-Con in Seattle 2016. Melodic Rock with great lyrics. 16 Choose me : An insert song of the concert scene the Netflix movie KATE, they appeared as BAND MAID. Cool rock song. 17 Dragon Cry : The only song produced by Tony Visconti. It's not their lyrics, but it sings about the future of human society and the earth. Great Heavy Classic Rock . 18 After Life : A homage to the maid cafe and band formation where Kobato worked. BAND-MAID Hard Rock . 19 Corallium : The song that Saiki wrote all the lyrics for the first time. Hip pop style dancing hard rock. Added ★ Peace & Love : Founder Miku Kobato's solo project. Pigeon saves the world. Funky pop rock.
Welcome back to Band-Maid reactions ! Yeah, this one rocks hard, something about cooping up all of the Maids in that small hallway space maybe. As others say, all B-M songs and lyrics are open to interpretation, but imo there are several big clues in this MV pointing to Miku’s thoughts and frustrations about working in a maid cafe (allegedly the opening shot was taken in the very cafe she used to work at). The growing frustration and pent up anger of the employees, cleaning staff, and even the manager is parodied in the video. Miku’s loud shout of “Don’t Say You Love Me !” at the end of the song convince me she’s speaking to what many of the young women who work in these cafes might feel at some point. In my opinion the song title refers to her new, happy and fulfilled musicians life, after escaping from the cafe gig
You have surprises ahead of you. There are a number of new songs that are faster, heavier, and more progressive. Black Hole, No God, Different, Sense, etc.
Thanks, Jerome, nice entertaining reaction to a fun song. The song lyrics generally talk about some pretty deep stuff, like dealing with life's problems and anxieties, and whether anything in this life is worth investing all your emotions. The MV is weird, but my interpretation has always been that this represents Band-Maid (there are five characters in the MV) and they are playing to empty rooms and corridors, which was and still is their performing situation from 2020 to date. They pull it together at the end of the MV because, well, they're Band-Maid and they're resilient and they put out one of the best albums of 2021 (Unseen World). FYI, they recently announced US tours for 2022, but no dates/places as of yet.
The Best Rock Band on earth. Choose any song on their YT channel and you will be making the correct choice. They even have a song called Choose Me. Duh. BAND-MAID is Awesome. Peace.
Great to see you back! Songs a lot of the time are purposely left somewhat open to interpretation, I guess that is a fair statement, I think it is simply being frustrated about how things are going at work, Miku use to work in a maid cafe, kinda how I took it. Good to see you again, do some more Band Maid!
