ALONE is a very special song because this is the first song written by Band-Maid that the management OKed to release. When Kanami composed this song, she wasn't thinking about Saiki's singing. Saiki initially complained "The key is too low for me to sing"🙁 Kanami's guitar solo in this song is one of my favorite guitar solos by her👍💕
Alone was the first song that Kanami submitted to the label that got approved! Still one of their best! Love the individual personality traits shown in Don't You Tell Me. Akane's appetite, Misa's drinking, Miku's serving, Kanami's love for Saiki, and Saiki's attitude!😂 Akane (Ah-kah-nay) drums Saiki (Sigh-key) lead vocals Kanami (Kah-nah-mee) lead guitar Miku (Mee-ku) rythnn guitar/backing vocals Misa (Mee-sah) bass guitar
*ALONE:* Well let me tell you about a story about a group named *BAND-MAID* A group of lovely girls who played rock music that thought was dead And then one day *BAND-MAID* went to the record producers And the next thing you know they started writing on their own *Alone* that is the first song they wrote on their own Well the next thing you know *BAND-MAID* is now and free To write their own music as they shouted out with glee They said *Domination* is where you oughta be And they pack up their gear to make history... 🤠 🐎 🐦 🎀
This was before Saiki's (Sigh-key) vocal chord surgery. Her voice before that had a bit more nasality than after. You can really hear the difference pre- and post- if you listen to Freedom studio version vs. Freedom OLV.
Don't You Tell ME is my favorite Official Music Video by Band-Maid. That little hop that Miku does when the maids shuffle in from the left followed by the cutest chair flip ever makes me smile every time. I also like how it shows their personalities with Misa drinking, Akane eating, Miku doing omajinai over the food, Kanami fawning over Saiki and Saiki pushing her away. All good stuff.
Once they were left "Alone" by their record / management companies to create what they wanted, well... look what they did. Alone's somewhat sad, heavy yet empowering story (topics Miku's known for writing about), up against Kanami's up-tempo, complex yet rockin' music is quintessential Band-Maid. BAND-MAID is an important influence and contributor to the music industry with a continuous, growing worldwide fanbase. But to me, they are just the best sounding, best writers of hard rock music, and the most fun, joyous group of musicians to come along since the Beatles! Thx, Alexa!

Alexa you remind me of a brainy girl in a horror vid where a deranged lunatic is running around a collage campus offing the students but you find a way to stop them at the end. So i came to hang out on your channel cos i'll be listening to B-M & won't be able to hear any lunatics coming or anything, whilst you keep me safe. Thx.😁👍
Don't You Tell Me! Oh, wait! You just did. 🤘😂Now, let me tell you something: Some say the Carolina Reaper is the hottest chili pepper with a Scoville Heat Index of 2.2 million. Nope! It's Band-Maid with a whopping 200 Million View index! 🌶🤘🎀 Thx again, Alexa!
Cluppo is Miku's alter ego. It is another term for a small pigeon in Japanese. Cluppo has some seriously good songs from the Hatoful EP. The cover of the album says a lot about Miku and her personality. Some songs from the album refer to Miku's bandmates in Band- Maid. "Flapping Wings", I think refers to Miku herself. "Pogo" is a definite reference to Akane. Pogo was a famous gorilla (Akane's nickname) in Japan. "Voice" is a definite reference to Saiki. "Peace and Love" is another good one on the album.
Pretending that possibly-non-English words have Italian or Spanish vowel sounds works more than it fails, since most imported words use Romanized not Anglicized pronunciation, which gives reactors outside the former British empire an advantage getting the names right. Saiki sounds kinda like the English noun psyche. Drummer Akane Hirose's name has 4 second-grade-English syllables and 6 Romantic ones, so the difference can be striking.
