First time I heard it I thought it was ok and nice. Loved the lyrics and the drums driving the song. Saiki was great. But the song was just ok. Then the more I heard it the more it became Band Maid and dare I say comforting and welcoming. Not for the first time Band Maid has a song that grows and grows until it becomes special. After all they really only have two types of song. Instantly addictive or slow burners. This may have been one of those that hooks you once you let it play around in your head. Now it has taken up residence in there.
I just wish Saiki was a little higher and forward in the mix. I can hear her more clearly with really good headphones but through speakers it is really hard to catch the lyrics and the lyrics to this song are beautiful
I love MISA's playing... and Akane's... and Kanami's... and the recording is good, too! Miku's lyrics seem good. And Saiki delivers. Mike did good at giving them his direction and probably helping with the lyrics and English. I guess I love the damn thing just for being more simple for a change of pace, if for nothing else. 😏Thx, Greedy!
This song at the end of an energetic set in front of a large audience or at a festival? Yes, that's where I see it and that's where it COULD get a similar status like 'Endless Story'. I liked everything about it immediately after hearing it for the first time, and a day later after listening to it several times, nothing has changed. You can hear the Incubus spirit, but it doesn't take anything away from what I love about Band-Maid. A great song that Mike and the ladies have done here. 🔥🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Forever!"_ 」 - from *BAND-MAID* - 'Manners' ♬🕊
The more you listen to this song, the more you will like it. It's a different tempo and soundscape for Band Maid, but it's still beautiful. Miku had to have done a lot of work to get all of the lyrics properly in English. Saiki and her vocals and harmonization are outstandingly powerful. Kanami's guitar work, as always, is brilliant. MISA and Akane's work are also outstanding. This definitely has an Incubus vibe. I hope THIS song gets serious airplay on radio in the U.S. and in Europe. This a proper song for that medium. Again Greedy, thanks for your thoughts and insights.
A lovely little song. Not every song needs to be 100 miles per second, with a bass solo, in Japanese and English with more hooks than grandad's tackle box. Just like Saiki's voice needs a break our ears need a rest as well. Then refreshed, we can absorb the frenzied awesomeness of full throttle BandMaid!
