Next to Eddie Van Halen, Kanami Tono is the most expressive guitarist I have ever heard. All of the maids are experts at expressing themselves through their instruments and Saiki and Miku vocals/harmonies are on display.

Tauri, Miku wrote the lyrics as a heartfelt tribute to hear bandmates, her "besties". After ten years together touring the world with the hardships, trials, and tribulations they share, they have become more like sisters. Beautiful and angelic video with beautiful music, beautiful lyrics, beautiful garb, beautiful hairdos (especially Kanami with "angel" wings and a ponytail), beautiful background. Wow!!!!! Thanks, Tauri, have always enjoyed your channel. Bestie's a little different for Band-Maid insofar as it's a collab with Mike Einzinger of Incubus. While it does have that Incubus vibe, it definitely has Band-Maid's fingerprints all over it. Maybe it's not typical Band-Maid, but the ladies really enjoyed working with "Mikey-san" and had a blast last week when he got on stage with them at Tokyo Garden Theater to play it!

Thank you for the heartfelt reaction to this. It is a gorgeous song and video, for sure, and it just reaffirms that they have found the secret to connecting with all of us. I've seen them live three times and each time was a life-affirming experience.
It's a beautiful song. I really like that they are not wearing the maid outfits. I know it's their gimmick, but it has come to feel like one. They are too good to need a gimmick. Hopefully, if they start doing songs in English, they will get wider acceptance. They deserve it.
What a wonderful story this band is - more than a decade the same line-up, a brilliant songbook and stellar performances, and then still getting better and better. Recently i read an interview with Miku in which she explained their success formula. It's three things, she said,: talent, friendship, and the steely determination to move on whenever the winds were blowing hard in our direction. These ladies are more than a band; they are role models, paragons. Good to have them in our lives.
