Thank you for reviewing this. They continue to surprise us, which is a rare thing in rock. Most creative band since the Beatles, who broke up more than 50 years ago. As you know, Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you checked out a long time ago is about to make a splash with a new album. Founded in 2011, Bridear were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They go hard and heavy. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. Their tiny bassist even growls at key moments. They’re scheduled to release their new album on June 28, and it’s a banger. There is also a new video coming shortly-don't miss the chance to jump on it!
Akane drives the song along and on first listen her drums made the difference between the song standing out and not. Now the more I listen the more comforting and warm it feels. Mike Einzinger of Incubus may have written the music but it has the Maid stamp on it. Mikey San and The Maids clearly are Besties and while I appreciate some people wanted bells and whistles. Sometimes the comfort of as lullaby works and this is what the song represents to me. Pure warmth.

I love every reactor's take on the Maids being dressed all in white! If this is what heaven looks and sounds like, I need to be a lot nicer. My reaction to the video, the first time I watched was it's beautiful(in so many ways), ethereal, even angelic. Especially Kanami with her gossamer lace "wings". She also takes us soaring into the heavens with that solo. Since the passing of Neal Pert, I feel MISA and Akane are the most intuitively brilliant "rhythm section" in rock and roll. The lyrics are so needed during the turmoil we are facing in the country right now. Mohammed Ali once said,"If someone doesn't understand the meaning of friendship, they understand nothing." No truer words were ever spoken.
[Bestie, co-written by Michael Einziger of Incubus.] MISA's playing and bass tone are setting new standards... and Akane's drumming is so in-the-pocket and distinguishable... and Kanami's solo is Daydreaming masterful! The recording and mix are as enjoyable as the song and beautiful MV! Miku’s English lyrics (I bet with Saiki and Mikey-chan's influence) are heartfelt. "I can't look into your eyes."
