Jen, that is an omelette, not scrambled eggs. Miku probably had done this ketchup drawing service when she worked at the maid cafe. Btw, I always put ketchup on my scrambled eggs🤤👍
Miku is a cute genius! Created the band, learned guitar from scratch (of course having Kanami as your teacher helps, lol), writing the lyrics, wow! Band-Maid is just the best! Your right, they are close beyond sisters!
If you order omelette rice (omurice) at a maid cafe, your waitress will make a custom drawing on it with ketchup and bless it with their maid magic to be delicious. Then you must keep it away from gorilla drummers. :)
U have got too little sleep and too much caffeine... No wonder you're jumpy 😁 Ketchup and scrambled eggs? I usually do the cooking and baking, but there are limits... 🤢🤢
Yes! Ketchup and scrambled eggs are bomb. 😎. This song has always been one of those I just crank up. The live version of this song is amazing too because Misa and Kanami have a bass and guitar dual in the middle of the song... it’s so fun to watch. And let’s just appreciate what Japan is giving us musically .. so many great bands.. I mean Japan deserves its own special day for band reactions. I’m just glad that more people are discovering these deserving artists.
I think this is the most vocally demanding band-maid song. There's no fuckin way I can hold breath so long and singing in such a high key in the main chorus. I can almost hear Saiki struggling everytime she performs this song live. It must drain the shit out of her energy...
Hey, Jen. You should check out Wagakki Band A top line band. Folk metal with shamisen, boardharp and flute as well as rock instruments. Lead singer, Yuko Suzuhana, is classically trained and also has/had a folk trio. She wears geisha/royal costumes. More people than band-maid and a nice full sound. Amy Lee has recently been working with them.
I think I blame you for my obsession with Saiki’s teeth lol. I’ve long known about that “yaeba” style of teeth and was never a fan until Saiki showed up. This is such a minor detail but since you bring it up so much I have to take the time to say yes I agree lol
I seriously think you should check out the new live version of this song they just released 4 days ago... really! Band-Maid DONT YOU TELL ME OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO AT YOKOHAMA ARENA very very better than the music video ❤
See Gary Holloway's comment and link. If that link goes down, which it probably will, here's a second best live version with the Kanami / MISA play shot by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kfYQoWBlSpk.html
Nice reaction. The live version is incredible, Kanami and Misa trade off solos. This song is off Just bring it album, where they compose all their songs from this album on. Some awesome Band Maid songs to try: Puzzle ( live), a favorite BM song of mine, Kanami a riff machine., and awesome solo; Daydreaming, beautiful ballad with Kanamis guitar riff, solo bringing me to tears; Non Fiction Days, awesome banger; Moratorium ( live) , incredible crowd reaction; The dragon cries, very Led Zepplinish song, sung in english. Hope yah get to Nemophilas song Life. A beautiful ballad, showing Mayus beautiful vocals, and some beautiful guitars. Tissues needed.
Jen you are 100% correct about the ketchup n cheese on eggs , I cant eat any type of eggs with out ketchup and or cheese , great reaction Band - Maid never lets you down .
To all of you who enjoy Ketchup (yeah, I did that, I capitalized it) on your eggs: I've been a Ketchup addict for 63 years now and I never, never put it on my eggs, and I eat eggs almost every day. I do, however, enjoy Ketchup on most varieties of meat/poultry and most fried potatoes. Oh, and I only buy Heinz. There's no Brand X in my house! I do enjoy Cholula on my scrambled eggs and medium to hot red or green salsa on other variations of my eggs, but never Ketchup. How did I turn a Band-Maid reaction video into a Ketchup/egg rant???
Most bands you listen to and enjoy it. But there are a handful of bands that you don't just listen to...you EXPERIENCE them. Nightwish, Babymetal, Band-Maid, Sabaton, and a few others...they just draw you in and give you an absolutely immense emotional ride from start to finish.
You should Try Sliced Oven Potatoes ( sorry i dont know the american term for it ) with 40 g of Cheese on its amazing and makes you feel stuffed for 3 hours. Fuck calories. : )
Well there Are better musicians then Band Maid of course. BUT they are not such great Songwriters. Kanami is just a great Songwriter. And Band Maid are awesome as characters. But this Song isnt even written by Kanami. And its still very good. They changed it for the Live Version and made it even better.
This song is off of the Just bring it album. Band Maid composed the whole album. Yolo Puzzle all on this. Miku Seike wrote lyrics, Kanami composed songs.
⭐Accént❗ "Don't you tell Me" (Live) BAND-MAID cover ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BbEYc2yY2s4.html {Fumi, age 10; Drums} {Kanon, age 11; Vocals/Guitar} {Haru, age 10; Bass}
That is Japanese "Omu-Rice (Omlet & Rice)". Fried chicken rice wrapped with Egg. All of Japanese loves this Omu-Rice. My mom used to write a message with ketchup on it when I was a kid like in the video clip. And in the clip, Miku drew a pigeon, because her name is Miku Kobato (Kobato=Tiny pigeon).
Hard to believe, but I think we can safely call this one classic Band Maid. Just seems like yesterday that these ladies first knocked me senseless with their sound. Too true that they always amaze and they aren't slowing down.
You said it Jen, How can you not love Band-Maid. I love em and I love Siaki's teeth too (I thought I was the only one) and everything about her. Song is epic. So thank you and stay awesome.
Personalizing the eggs is a Maid Cafe thing, done by the Maid serving you. Note Kanami start piano at 3yo and picked up the guitar in high school to be cool. There are 100++ all female Rock/Metal bands in Japan, you need to pick up the pace.
Jen, watch this video again and you'll see each ones personalities in this video portrayed. 1. Kanami knocks the glass of chocolates on the floor. (Bandmates have described her as clumsy and oblivious.) 2. Miku decorates the eggs with ketchup with the words Band-Maid and a pigeon. (Her last name is Kobato which means "Little Pigeon") 3. Akane is seen eating large portion of food off a dinner plate. (Akane is known to eat large portions of food at one sitting) 4. Misa is seen drinking from a flask. (her favorite hobby is drinking alcohol) 5. Saiki is shown being mysterious. (Bandmates describe her as mysterious and shy) 6. Kanami in an interview said she's in love with Saiki and would love to marry her (the other maids were surprised to hear her say this)
Yeah, there's something deeply satisfying to watch the maids take control of the party lol. You should check out "No God" next. The title sounds more controversial than it is (use subtitles). Yes, I did repost this lol. That's how sure I am that you will be blown away. The stuff from their new album just has a level of technical prowess that puts most other bands to shame.
MISA!!! MISA!!! MISA!!! 🥃🥃🥃 a very good MV but the Live version of this song is 12 times better because of the great "conversation" between Misa and Kanami with Akane keeping those 2 moving along 😉🤙🏼I'm sure one of the Maidiacs will send you the link to the Live version from Zepp 2018. Btw ketchup on eggs 🥚is Gross!!! Just butter is all you need 🍳🧈, ok cheese 🧀 too 😉 lol
Miku's passes over the dish are the 'magic' spells that maids use in maid cafes to 'improve' the taste of the food. That's also the origin of her 'moe' chants. Maybe she is working out some past frustrations. All round epic song, epic performance. Band Maid just the best by a country mile.
I realy LOOVE the "new" way of Metal that comes out of Japan. I dunnot know why, i feel it is odd that its mostly very young girls, but... f... it. The Music is great so, what do i care :D Wagakki, Babymetal, Onmyo-Za etc etc. Japan is where metal lives today.
Really miss the Hey! Hey! Hey! (and so on) on this one. So I had to do it myself. That live version on the Zepp Tokyo version SMOKED! (and that's not even mentioning "the duel"...)
IIRC, they mentioned in an interview that this was their funnest video to make, when they got to trash the room. I like it because it shows their individual personalities and quirks and is more than just the band playing live in some random location.
Old MV, but just as fresh as the day it was made. Akane wearing Misa's hat. #stopthehatsteal . TY Jen for continuing to promote the band that saved my life in 2020. They richly deserve every success.
This is my favorite Band Maid song! Only because it's my first Band Maid song! I watched this video like 10 times in a row! Hadn't been that excited about a band since I heard U2 on college radio in 1980. I was 14. Boy had just been released in the U.S. See Gary Holloways comment for link for live version. It is incredible! Best rock and roll band in the world today!😎🤘
When maids attack... Thanks for the great reaction. I really wish that the live version of this was still up because of the guitar/bass call and response between Kanami and Misa.
5:29 - MISA drinking, Akane eating Miku's eggs, which she prepared as she used to in the maid cafe with a heart blessing and a cute ketchup signature, Saiki being a regal queen while Akane, who loves her so much, trys to get a hug (Saiki pushes her away a second later but Akane tries again and Saiki hugs her the second time). Basically, all the band members doing something they are known for by fans. Love that such Rock goddesses can play about like this.
So, an exceptional video, at first everyone thinks that there is something wrong because for a while you can not hear anything, the text is beautiful, but the thing that stands above everything is the final frames when Saiki, the wonderful Saiki, holds the foot on the back of the submissive man, truly a sublime scene!
Canine teeth are called "yaeba" in Japan, and they are not a weakness but a charm point. Like Saiki, BABYMETAL Su-metal had canine teeth, but they were removed by her management because they thought it would not be liked in the West. She probably didn't want to have it removed, but as a young girl, she had no choice but to comply. Well, such a suggestion may have been made to Saiki, but given her personality, there is no way she would have followed such a selfish directive from the office. Because she is a woman who only goes "my way".
Hello Jen! If you really want to know more about BAND-MAID -- look up "BAND-MAID - Gold Rush 73 and 74" on RU-vid. It is an interview in Japanese, but it should have subtitles. After you hear their origin story, you will fall even further in love with them. BTW, the scramble eggs, that was was not a duckie, it is specifically a pigeon. After you see the Gold Rush interview, you will know why.
