Band-Maid is coming back to the US, I have tickets for the Daytona show (Rockville Festival), they are also going to play at the Columbus festival as well. I saw you guys at the DC Band-Maid show, but did not get a chance to say hi.
"BAND-MAID 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR" is coming! The tour will be held in Japan from March 2023, and in the U.S. in May and August. The tour final will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Yokohama Arena. The Yokohama Arena concert will be their biggest since they started.
Same here, they did From Now On, Onset and Hate at one of the shows I went to, as well as Domination, Freedom, Sense, Don't You Tell Me and a bunch of others. Saw them in NYC and New Jersey.
I saw them in Dallas on October 21st and this was #8 (#9 in Houston right after "Onset", like you said). You are so right about MISA. She's a fabulous rock bass, loud with a little edge, always where she needs to be but so melodic. She supports the themes Kanami throws out there too. When she does the little break in this one, she's got that little bit of a jazz feel, playing the upstrokes on the off beats, and it lets the whole song breathe for a moment before that blast furnace final chorus. They opened for Guns N Roses in early November, and they just sold out the 8000 seat Tokyo Garden Theater. That concert is available on Zaiko streaming until February 9th ... 2:45 minutes, 26 songs, on a huge stage.
Ive been waiting for this! Such a damn good song! For sure, hearing it live on their US tour was AMAZING! They played it absolutely flawlessly both times I saw them play it! Song of the year for me for sure!
It's amazing when you think about it, they are unbelievably amazing and they still get even more amazing time after time after time. When I was watching the "making of" videos for the Band-Maiko music videos for Secret of Maiko Lips and Gion-Cho, I found out that Kanami worked very closely with the sound engineers and gained some valuable knowledge and techniques that made her even more awesome than she was before. And Miku has gone from not playing the guitar to becoming a very well-practiced and solid guitarist that is integral to the sound of Band-Maid. It's impossible to say too many good things about them.
