Great reaction! Now you should read the english lyrics. This song is all about how tough it is running a youtube/instagram/tiktok channel. Miku is big on TikTok, so I suspect the lyrics are really personal for her. I personally love this song. Band Maid keeps changing stuff up, and never get boring.

Band-Maid fan here. Akane is my favorite rock drummer. Ironically, I also describe her playing to other people as ‘spicy’. Kanami (guitarist) is an excellent songwriter - they just churn out hit after hit. I love their whole catalog, and there’s a good amount of variation. I’ve seen them live 3 times, and each show was excellent. BTW, my favorite jazz/fusion drummer is Senri Kawaguchi - she is amazing!

Yeah, "Donut Operator" is a trip. love his channel too. This tune is wonderful to me, it has all the Band-Maid qualities I expect. Saiki can throw down some machine-gun vocals and I absolutely LOVE when she does. The Japanese language is quite fast to begin with so she's right at home, IMHO. Another quality with Akane is how she calms down during Kanami's solo's, like here when she went to a straight four count. She never takes anything away from a member during their highlighted section, no egos here. These girls are top notch and always allow each member their time to shine......very well written.

Comparing AKANE to Gene Krupa is high praise indeed, an well deserved. BAND-MAID continues to raise the bar; INFLUNCER is outstanding. SAIKI’s “rap” and a cappella parts are highlights, and AKANE drumming is propulsive from start to finish.

Band Maid fan here, also going to see them live in a few weeks for the second time! I think it is great they are exploring more things as musicians, but I just didn’t vibe with this track. To each their own. Though the songs “I’ll” and “Hate?” are top ten (all time Band Maid) songs for me. Maybe the other songs with this newer sound will grow on me. I just like my rock/metal to sound a little “dirtier” if that makes sense. Also, you already know this, but it’s YOUR channel. We tune in and you do you. If these people knew better, they’d have their own channel. Also, love it when the internet “experts” need you to produce your resume. I’m here to enjoy drumming and learn a little about the music I like, so keep pausing, geeking out on things you hear in the music, and keep doing your thing.

One of the reasons I love watching your reactions is that you break down Akane's drumming style. You're one of the very few that do. It gives me a lot of insight into her technique. She's an amazing drummer and your analysis helps me understand her that much more. Keep doing what you're doing. And also, this song slaps. LOL

I was waiting for you to react to Akane's 'slowing down bit' hey I am no drummer. The one thing about both this band and Akane. Is that they don't do show off moments but everything is for the song to make it sound the best. Love the song and yes they constantly change things around . The band after nearly ten years are still evolving into new sounds and new styles. Some may prefer them to sound the same as they did. But I love the fact they do change. The music is everything and so little ego on show.

This has quickly become a top tier BM song for me. A lot of fun to listen to. Big earworm. They do have a new instrumental called From Now On that is fire. Sounds like a movie score. Really great drumming in it. They have an audio only MV on their channel but the best quality is through YT music. BTW...I never doubted your credentials...after all YOU ARE THE DRUM NERD!!

One of my favourites from this EP for sure. Akane's drum and the vocal are my highlights. Talking of drums, Balance is another great track for Akane fans.

Influencer is a good representation of their new album Unleash!!!!!. What stands out the most is the complexity. These songs are far more complex than older songs like Thrill. Some fans prefer a more classic rock sound, while I love their older music, I'm also curious as to what crazy compositions they can come up with.

Don't worry about the haters and fakers, love what you do and the music you react to. Keep it up man, doing good! Band Maid, one of the best or the best rock band out today. IMO anyway! Band Maid!!!!!

I loved it, but I may be a soft touch. They haven't disappointed me since I first discovered them, though I do have a preference for the stuff since they started writing their own music. As for this song? I loved it. It did the usual BAND-MAID trick of making me happy and anytime Misa gets a chance to show off it's like a second helping. And don't let the haters get on ya (everyone thinks we Canadians are all nice all the time...until the puck drops). I look forward to you imparting your knowledge on me. It's why I'm here. If I wanted to watch the videos without the commentary, I'd just watch the video, wouldn't I?

Do you. F the haters, esp the "don't pause so much" yabos. They can go watch the original easily enough. There are a MILLION reaction channels, so being yourself is the only way to stand out, and the only way to not come off as fake. Just enjoy yourself. This song is a lot of fun. I don't like rap as a genre, but it's fine when used as a spice. BAND-MAID love to dabble. I'm not the biggest fan of the filter on Kanami's guitar, but that's what she wants to use, and for the privilege of listening to her I can live with it. Have a great day in your man shirt. ;)

Japanese songs, music composers, musicians, they are out of the box, they don't give a damn about music genre, tradition, rules, they mixed all together in their music and songs and that is so awesome...only MJ(RIP) and Aerosmith/Run DMC dare to do that back then...

You don't need to justify your background! You obviously know your shit! It was absolutely clear before. Don't let the trolls get to your head. With more popularity, comes more dumb comments. You really have to ignore them, because they won't go away. And if you address them in your videos, they will feel validated and do it even more. This being said, Great job! Love the song! The only thing I've come to expect about Band Maid songs is that they will not be like I err... expect. They are always pushing themselves and trying new things. I actually haven't heard a song that they've done where I didn't like it. I've liked some songs more than others, but I still haven't heard a song that I dislike. And thank you for the drumming breakdowns and analysis (yay Akane!). It helps me understand the reasons that their songs sound like they do.

Being a youtuber reactor to bands that people love there are always those that are toxic. They are everywhere no matter the band. Just ignore them. Usually same band fans puts them on their place.

Band Maid just doing Band Maid...... As for your channel..... Don't change.... we need as many drum channels as we have guitar and vocal channels. Keep up with the great content. Subis......

They are amazing in "everything" they do. Which is just about anything they feel like doing at any given time. If you're looking for a band with a consistent sound, don't bother trying to listen to Band Maid. When as talented as they are, there is nothing you can't do. I'm waiting for their first country western song.

Don’t sell yourself short by undercutting the points you make! You DO know more than a lot of people, at least when it comes to drums. Most people have never played drums in any serious capacity, so you can certainly enlighten all those people to some degree with your insights. Okay, all that said, great video as usual! My ears appreciate Akane’s playing as always, and your comments educate me as to what she’s doing to create that sound, and help to create a greater context around it.

couple of things, first, great reaction... then about tha pause and drum focus i dont think you NEED to do youre resume, ITS YOUR CHANNEL. and the capital are not from screaming you but to the heaters. finally am a BM Fan but also part of their community and trust me, the maidiacs are the most respectful and friendly people i ever met (online) so lets the haters hate, we will keep coming to share with you the comments, the drummy nerdie things and the reaction itself. Here’s Kanami (lead guitar and primary composer) and drummer Akane from a recent interview: KANAMI: …we put in some experimental elements, and in the chorus, Misa and I use triplets, but the drums are octuplets. AKANE: I was conscious of the octuplets that were closer to the triplets, and I did it while maintaining balance, so the title of the song is "Balance"! Should be a fun listen for you 😂 Rock On 🤘🏼🎼✌🏼🎸

I'm sorry, but I don't think you know about the drummer (Akane). She's the best female rock drummer. There are many variations and costs. If you want to know more about her, you should watch the solo part on the DVD. You can't know her true goodness just from the MV.

Get some sleep for this one.

Don't mind you talking... just feel sometimes you miss some of the flow of the song when you break up certain parts (like the bass solo or the rap) if you don't rewind and listen thru the part. And even for a musician I think it's hard to properly gauge a part if one loses the flow. So by all means pause, explain, add value. But possibly break the flow of the individual parts a little less? I mean, your channel, but that would be the harshest "critique" I'll give. Even if you don't need the flow to fully get it, most of your audience will still appreciate it and get more out of it.
