I love Band-Maid and have been to two of their live concerts. Now I don't think that "Magie" is an earworm that will stay in your brain forever. I do feel, however, that this is the perfect high energy mid-concert song they transfers them out of their softer set or an MC. It's perfect for getting the crowd up and moving again.

There ain't no band who writes, plays and performs like Band-Maid! While I've watched Magie climb from an initial 6, when I first heard it, to a 7 and now an 8 (taken from a recent survey of my cerebral musical cortex ;-), I always appreciate the execution, sound and, once again, performance of all their songs... even starting with "Made In Japan," released in 2014 when I first became entranced with the Magical Maids. Thx, Lee Jay & Stan!

This one was taken off their 10-May-2024 (Day of Maid) okyu-ji. If the label stick to the normal, there should be 3 more songs that promotes the DVD of this to come out.

While I'm still getting used to the chorus being so "sugary sweet", the rest of the song I liked immediately. Mostly, I think this is from the show show that I'm going to be getting on video along with my pre-order of the new cd, and I'll TOTALLY PUMPED for a new high quality pro-shot live maid concert video !!!

Talking of the chorus, that's what traditional Japanese festival music sounds like to me. Especially first half of the chorus. I can easily imagine Japanese flute playing the vocal melody part.

This song is MENTAL. Don't overthink of the lyrics. Just have fun. Saiki's not capable of writing complex, poetic lyrics like Miku. She's straight forward. Meaning you only have to understand what she sings in English. 😂 It's nice to have simple lyrics every now and then.
