I would LOVE to see Misa join in with Juna Serita in one of Juna's amazing practice session videos. The Princess of Funk and the Barefoot Assassin of Rock. Now that would be a sight to see.
I’m still blown away by Band Maid. Drummer is everything. But they’re all too good for one band. But what I really die for is that melodic vocal fade on the first half of the chorus, so tight. There’s always some tasty extra cookie in each song.
J-LOD was a Japanese government initiative to help artists through the covid lockdowns. They gave grants to artistes to put out video's of their work. One of the stipulations was that the video's must be 5 minutes or longer in duration. Band-Maid have no 5 minute songs so they put out two songs on each J-LOD video. Both of these tracks were taken Band-Maids online concert livestreamed on May 10th 2021. Another great J-LOD video the Maids put out was "Dice" & "Different" - it's worth checking out!
After I discovered Band-Maid back in days, nothing before sounds any meaningless anymore 😅 They are musically so in their own level, even hard to describe how good they are..Magical band 🔥🤘❤️
From JAPAN. It is well known among fans that when Jimmy Page visited Japan in November 2016, he was so impressed with AKANE's drumming at the BAND-MAID show that he went all the way backstage to meet with her for a two-shot photo. Also, the legendary producer "Tony Visconti" (who produced David Bowie and T. Rex) offered to BAND-MAID . The song "The Doragon Cries" was recorded at his studio in New York.
Manners/Black Hole double-header is one of the Band Maid rites of passage 😊 you have to experience this, Freedom, Domination, the early interviews, Onset, From Now On, About Us, Hate? (All the official live vids), Saiki and Kanami acoustic versions, the acoustic concert, Ohrenje’s documentaries….and of course everything else they ever recorded….
@@B-Drags-Den yep, I noticed ;) I was just summarising some of the output it is essential to see :) I should also have included Choose Me and Before Yesterday but it is hard to give a short list! I personally love some of the very early stuff such as Freezer and Arcadia Girl.
This live video two-fer was the one that showed me that Band-Maid is not a one-trick-pony. Their musical versatility shows that they can embrace any genre and make it their own. They are NEVER afraid to experiment with their music and sound. A suggestion for the next official music video to react to (it is still the best version of the song) is "Influencer". While it's a great rock song, Saiki's ability to rap carries the song.
Black Hole had to grow on me. I now consider it one of BandMaid's most powerful songs. Therefore today if I hear a BandMaid tune I am not sophisticated enough to say if I actually dislike it. And I am certainly not worthy to utter stoopid shite like "That's not a good song" because it is never true. They don't release bad songs. HATE?, Bestie and Unleash!!!!! all waited patiently by until I got my head on straight.
You have to be at one of their shows and when Manners starts, everyone in the audience knows what is coming and everyone joins Miku in her ha-ha-ha-ha's and yeah yeah-yeah yeah-yeah yeah's. Band Maid brings out the best in their fans.
How could I not subscribe after all those happy B-M induced facial expressions 😁 This amazing rock and roll Sisterhood has forgotten more about song arrangements and dynamics than most bands ever learn. Cheers from Australia, what a fcken band Po 👍🍻
Great reaction Master Jojo! Love watching the faces of people reacting to this combo. In the first song...I could see the pure enjoyment in your face. And why not, it's groovy masterpiece. Then Black Hole, I could see parts where you were borderline head banging. Then there was a few points where you looked like you were a deer in headlights, as there was so much going on. Yet you were smiling and enjoying the complexity of what was going on, especially with the bass and guitar lines. Controlled chaos of the experience of being sucked into a Black Hole, at a blistering 220 bpm, currently the fastest bpm song in their portfolio. That was fun! Keep rocking with the MAIDS! PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
Manners takes me back to the progressive blues rock bands of the late 1960- Hendrix, Johnny Winter, Pacific Gas and Electric etc. Then Black Hole- Progressive metal. I guess if their music doesn't fut currents genre types it must be progressive.
When MISA-san switches from pick to slap, she doesn’t just drop the pick and grabs a new one. She tucks it in between her fingers instead. That way no note gets wasted. 🙂
WARNING! (I know you all ready did that one). It's bad MANNERS to stop listening to Band-Maid because you'll feel starved for musical excellence and joy and fall into a BLACK HOLE of emptiness... probably! 🤔 Thx, Jojo!
@@B-Drags-Den I prefer the online performance because the sound is clearer than the other live one although they're both excellent. I think you'll like it.
