You are right, Band-Maid's sound is very versatile. They basically play whatever they feel like and this song is for the TV anime "Grendizer U". A little fun fact that I saw online. The "Ooh La La" part of the song was put in as a thank-you to the anime fans in France. An old version of the anime was a massive hit when it was first shown on TV in France back in the late 70's. The anime has developed a huge cult following with the French people who grew up in the 80s there ever since.
If Band Maid worked in an CSI office, they would the ones given shards of glass from different bottles and to then be charged with assembling them into a new whole, that would provide no hint of prior fractures. And they would do it as well as it could possibly be done. Castles made of glass (thanks Chester...and Jimi). Queens of all that they survey! Band Maid Forever!!!!!
This is the first anime song since Glory that I immediately loved. There are so many interesting ideas and elements even more so than what I can remember. Many people say it sounds like other Band-Maid anime songs but...I love the multi-cultural feel in this song. I actually find this song experimental.
I have to check but this may be the first time Akane went half time for Kanami's solo and the entire solo was in half time. Hmmmmmm. This IS a closing for an upcoming TV Anime “Grendizer U”.
Look forward to BAND-MAID being picked to do more anime themes. They're one the hottest acts worldwide. This one's aimed at the French audience, huge anime freaks, hence the "Oo la la la".
