From their earliest videos it was obvious these five people had some kind of magic together. The only comparison I can think of is John, Paul, George and Ringo.

Yes, they are all straight up phenomenal--I've always admired the hell out of Saiki who can stand in the midst of this glorious barrage and deliver her fine vocals. Sure she has the "in ear" monitors but it still must be a workout! Bulletproof indeed!

The song Warning! from their new album gives me the same vibes!

The drive in this song is crazy, just gets you going! Same as Warning!

Warning doesn‘t come even close... NFD is one of their very best.

CDはシングルglory、bubble以外はmaid in japanから unseen worldまで全部買いました。先月このバンドを知ってから一気にハマりました。 YOLOカップリング曲はunfair gameが特に好きです。unseen worldも凄く気に入りました。

For me it was Thrill. Then I thought "I wonder what else they do". Then I checked out Onset. I was done, addicted, convicted, enthralled, obsessed, confessed, amazed, delighted, enlightened, astounded, bewildered, astonished, and flabbergasted.

Music is only bias. It's personal taste. But Band Maid is incredible by any standard. Musicianship of Rush. Tightness and energy of ac DC. Melodic genius of the Beatles and Fleetwood mac. Pure sexiness and presence of the Stones. Band Maid Forever. 🤘🤘

I'd say that Band-Maid it's the only thing that make possible that cycle for me.

@rezargamer recommend checking out David Heretic. Fun reactions, and the guy seems to be genuine. Not mocking the musictaste or something, Just says it isn't his taste etc... But yeah he also gets Band-maid. But he is a musicians so he dissect the music and give a good reason for not liking and why he thinks something is awesome.

Reaction channels are worthless, and I hoped I could at least get a break from them in here, but I guess I was wrong. Why even mention them? I already know what to think about BandMaid, thank you very much.

It’s funny that Fume Z should state, “…not a copy of western music”. Truth is I believe Band- Maid has develop their own style of hard rock that combines a number of elements but is always melody centric. This is why their songs always draw you in and feel comfortable - even tho some of us do not speak, much less write Japanese. Hey, it’s BAND-MAID!!!!

I just recently discovered these ladies. Truly amazing!! Good old fashion ass kicking hard rock music. Love the energy, the talent, harmonies, the riffs, drummer is extremely good, bassist, guitarist & vocalist are spot on. Just wished it was in English so I could sing along lol. Absolutely love it!!

Absolutely--a stone cold monster bassist with amazing feel, chops and groove. Her stage presence is so compelling, she just moves with the music and the bass is part of her. Her and Akane=MAGIC! MISA MISA MISA!!!

They would be more popular if they wrote more old school type music like Thrill. Most of what they do is modern and progressive sounding, which sounds like everyone else. Thrill was such a hit because it wasn't the over processed formulaic garbage we hear everywhere. People want to real rock/metal.

Agreed,I am a drummer to, Senri Kawaguchi is one of the best I have ever seen as well.I Love this group though.I cannot get enough of these new songs,I so wish they would come to the states, They do have alot of fans her, and its very very hard to break in the Us.. lots of competition.

In my experience they are popular because they are good. Image has almost nothing to do with it, of which i'd say that more applies to idol groups or perhaps something like Scandal, where their musical abilities are yet to develop. The core of Band Maid fans have followed them for a long time and there are very few remarks about their image much of the time - simply because they are fairly average looking Japanese women. Please don't impart your western nonsense over to the east, it's why some of us left in the first place. Tono-Sensei, is easily one of the greatest modern guitarists of our time. One of the few I'd actually want to sign my PRSC24.

Agreed-I just listened to it for the first time in awhile and damn----Kanami really writes dynamic material, all of the changes in this are brilliant. Love this band!

They are all pretty good but the drummer is light years away.

I think something that always impresses me is that the other two (of the Kami trio) are from a very prestigious music school in Tokyo so it's obvious in how good their ability to play their instruments are. On the other hand, Kanami is an Economics/Business(?) major. She only started guitar in high school

@@tungstenwhizard4361 yup, but Kanami was already a classically trained pianist from an early age so she had a foundation to build on. her passion for guitar playing also helped.

@@tvesrb I believe Misa and Akane were the same, as well? I think all three played piano as kids. Still, our Kami trio are each amazing at their individual instrument.
