When you’re dropping an album every year with around 13 quality tracks each for 7 years straight, there’s just no way the fanbase could feel any less passionate. Its honestly the most rewarding fanbase I’ve ever been a part of. In just the last few months itself, they dropped several live performances, 3 MVs, 2 singles, an instrumental, 3 online concerts and an entire album with more to come in the next few weeks. Kanami (L guitarist) who is the composer and arranger is just a musical genius with machine like output rate. And they have a tight band with excellent chemistry and musicianship, that can fully keep up with this force of nature. While us fans are simply tagging along for this insane ride, barely holding onto our breaths 😅
You mentioned Led Zeppelin on your latest reaction to them, I've heard that Jimmy Page actually saw them playing in Tokyo once and wanted to go backstage to meet Akane (the drummer) 'cause he LOVED her playing, when they told her, she thought it was a joke, but he was actually there (they got a picture together).
This song and MV is another proof that these ladies are not interested in stepping on the brakes on their way to 'World Domination' or the 'Unseen World'! 【 'Our rock never dies, ever. Forever!' - Band-Maid 】🤘
@@SeddzSayz Me too! Oh and btw, the origin of the nickname 'Pigeon' is quickly explained. Miku Kobato, the lady with the 2 pigtails, who is also the founder of the band, calls herself just that. Translated, this is probably part of her surname 'Kobato'. 'Small pigeon' to be more precise. At least afaik.
@@SeddzSayz She calls herself a 'small pigeon'. That's part of her personality in front of the camera in interviews etc. There you might first get the impression that she is a slightly weird, hyperactive or childlike person. BUT, she is also responsible for all the lyrics of the songs and if you take a closer look at them, you will quickly realize that you are dealing with a very complex/multi-layered and interesting person. There's a lot more to her than meets the eye. 'Welcome Master and/or Princess' is the typical greeting when you enter a japanese maid-cafe. And since Miku used to work in one of these, and that's where the maid image comes from, this form of address was adopted. That's the reason why BM call their fans 'Masters & Princesses'.
I was absolutely floored by how good this track was. As much as I loved reacting to Manners yesterday, this is EASILY my favourite track i've heard from these girls so far!
I hadn't bought music since the early 2000s till this band ive got all the albums should be getting unseen world tomorrow. When I get some extra money ill try to get the single releases
If I love a band I'll buy all their stuff on physical cd. I'm going to have to hunt down some of Band-Maid's records, but I'm sure I'll complete the collection eventually!
They have been to the UK 3 or 4 times can't wait to see them myself Miku Kabuto is the Rythem Guitarist and backing vocalist she writes the lyrics to the songs Kabuto translates as small pigeon when she talks she throws in (Po) a lot Po is like a Pigeon sound! yes you better believe it.
If you would like to see how good they are live watch the fancam on Vladimir Chupin channel here on YT. He has a video with >100,000 views with Band-Maid. If you see it, you will know why. This women can blow your doors off! \m/ \m/
@@SeddzSayz Then you have to pay attention to the bassline. MISA the bassist writes the rhythm section of the songs and she is a genius. We fans love her more than anything. In every concert you can hear MISA! MISA! MISA! shouts. It's so awesome! They were some of the best live concerts in my life.
@@SeddzSayz forgot to say if you sign up you can buy a ticket for their on line concert on 12th Feb. Last one worked our at about £16 for a concert that lasted over 2 hours. Money well spent.
@@SeddzSayz I’ll chime in to say that it’s About $5 a month for the fan club, and you’ll save $5 on the upcoming livestream concert ticket as a member. So it’s a no brainer. You can cancel your membership after a month if you want. But honestly the content in the fan club site is more than worth it.
From their early days to today, their progression is interesting and awesome. The early light and popy Band-Maid is another gem. Go enjoy how these musically insane chicks have come about.
They have soooo many good songs that make you want to go to their gigs, buy all their cds or if you don't have the money download all their music! It only happens with band-maid these days. Out of the new album, manners is still my favorite, but why why why coming so close now... there are a few crazy songs in this album. There will be another online okyuji live coming up. Hope you will check it out, band-maid never disappoints you.
I just think for westerners who never dove into the Japanese music scene that's their exposure to Japanese music. So it reminds them of it. It annoys me a bit not because it's insulting. But because it shows people haven't broadened their musical horizons yet. There's great music everywhere. Band maid should be world wide stars IMO.
Basically anime music is mostly music by Japanese Artistes. So any music by any Japanese artiste can be anime music. Anime music is so wide and diverse.
There is a good interview to find out about their personality. Lead singer Saiki has been tricked into joining the band. She says she wouldn't have participated if she hadn't been fooled. The interview has the first half and the second half. ★English subtitles ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R4PofsQYwn4.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YzWETTu-4iE.html
Sounds like you have gotten bit by the Band Maid bug BIG TIME! Do yourself a favor and add the album "Just Bring It" to your list of purchases. Others might disagree (everyone has an opinion) but I believe it to be their best album to date. They are all awesome, but the songs on JBI flow so well together and of the 13 track 2 are really good, and the other 11 are absolutely KILLER! Best album cover as well! IMO
They have many videos of their songs deleted from YT but you can find them here. Even entire concerts. Enjoy! search.bilibili.com/all?keyword=band%20maid
Infectious... Thats a great way to describe this band! Enjoy the pigeonhole PO! FYI - The leader/former of the band - Miku (Backup vocals/Rhythm guitar) is a Pigeon Po! A small pigeon to be exact. Who would have thought a small pigeon would be the savior of rock? I recommend checking out Puzzle live. (One of their older tracks) You cant really find it on YT but heres a link for it below on bilibili. Puzzle is an absolute masterpiece of a song. This is a MUST check. www.bilibili.com/video/av64175474/
Great reaction, welcome new maidiac!, if you see some interview as Music Gold Rush for example, you will understand why the pigeon in some comments. Greetings from Argentina!
Me: Awesome! You like Manners? Well there’s tons of great songs from band maid. There’s- SeddzSayz: so I’ve bought all their albums! Me: Oh...that was fast lol
Good reaction! I'm not going to read all 123 comments so if someone already told you that, just know they were right : head over to the bandmaid.tokyo website and get yourself a ticket for their live (sadly only online) concert on Feb. 11th . Of course it's only half of a real Band Maid concert experience, but half is better than none :)
Here's some great translated interviews with each of the band members. They talk about them self's and about early days when the band was starting. www.reddit.com/r/BandMaid/comments/cbvlp7/translation_of_interview_for_bandmaids_future/
It's all good man! I fully get that some people hate reaction channels. I always copy and paste the same thing to them: "If you don't want people talking over the music, then just listen to the original song". But thank you for your support and checking us out!
Bro, pls check out LOVEBITES all Japanese female Heavy Metal Band live at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 all songs are in English, watch them play songs Raise Some Hell/Holy War/Break The Wall...
