The things these guys seen and did was beyond miraculious. Being an officer it was required of Buck to order men to a certain death. And i dont care how tough or detached a person gets that carries an amazing weight. I have listend to these men say many times. We didn't want to get close to the replacements because their inexperience made them more vounerable to get hit. And they had lost more friends than they wanted to count as it was.
