Terrific review Ken. Thanks for sharing. I just picked up the "silver version" at Hobby Lobby. It is also listed as the Beskar Armor. It's price at $69.99, but I got it down to about $41 with the 40% off sale. It is odd with the extra Boba Fett parts, but it must save from making separate molds. There is definitely some detail painting for a better look. When I build him, I may try painting to avoid most of the stickers.
i just built this kit and it was really fun. Also you can fit both the spear and jetpack on his back by making the spear vertical instead of diagonal with the attachment piece.
Thanks for the review. Just finished building Mando as I type this. I came to your video because I was too wondering what the heck the extra parts were for. I guess I look passed the instructions where it says “parts not needed”. Great review! Thanks!
How did you get his hips done? the instructions suck! they have the front hip part backwards, so I don't know where to put the leg peg at. please reply, I just want to finish him
Another cool Ban Dai kit to build is Captain Phasma. It’s a lot easier to put together and the parts fit well on everything where it is suppose to be. Give it a try.
Great review. This was a fun build. Took me three days in spare time plus paint. I noticed you had the tiny knee rockets in back wards, the short end goes in the holes. Hoping they dont fall out for ya.
It doesn’t have the same articulation that an action figure has. It’s a model and has limited posing. The arms and knees can bend somewhat and you can snap on different hands to hold good weapons.
Heyoo, building this figure from scratch is pretty interesting. Do you think it's possible to add cloth layers around it and then put the armor plates? Pretty curious.
The cape that comes with it is a thin cloth and it has holes that the chest plate pegs fit through. You could use a different thin cloth but would need to add holes. It’s a tight fit.
Well since this was just an out of box build of the kit, your complaint is with Bandai unless you think I assembled it incorrectly? It’s more of a poseable action figure than a static figure model so I had no plans to modify or paint it.
