Moko kahaan dhundhe re bande, mai to tere paas mein
O follower, where do you search me? I am always with you
Na teerath mein, na moorat mein, na ekant niwas mein
Not in pilgrimage, nor in statues, neither in solitude.
Na mandir mein, na masjid mein, na kabe kailas mein
Not in temples, nor in the mosque, neither in the Kabha nor in Kailash

Na mai jap mein, na mai tap mein, na mai bharat upaas mein
Not in prayers, nor in meditation, neither in fasting
Nahin praan mein, nahin pind mein, na brahmand akaas mein
Neither in the soul, nor in the body, not even in infinite space.
