When I look at the numbers man Kentucky State is a Beast! I love JSU and now I have found another diamond. Kentucky state is the real deal!

Yea man.. this year was my 1st year ever hearing Kentucky State and man,.. I was shocked. I was not at all expecting to her the power and the pen coming from them the way i did.. they definitely made it to my top 5 bands.

Kentucky State won that hands down.. Every member of every section is great. Do you understand how hard it is to be great in a small band? There can be no horn holders, everyone has to have a high level of musicianship, and the directors has to write for the size of the band. We gotta stop worrying about who pushin' the most wattage. Those 8 tubas have power, smoothness and stupid range. Put it this way, if both bands were the same size who do you think would have won

Lawd!! That "Didn't You Know" is by far one of the BEST arrangements of today's time. I can listen to it over and over and over. Them trombones are super Saucy on that joint.

One thing about KSU ain’t no horn holders they all play and they sound good.

This was a great battle. My Alma Mater is doing their thing. MMT!!!! Also really liking ASU this season as well. KSU got another BOTB coming up at the circle city BOTB. KSU Vs Miles vs TC. That should be a good one as well.

Dude Dude Dude... I swear, when i 1st heard KSU this year, i immediately said i wanna hear them go against Txsu. lol. that would be a damn good battle. I also want to see TXSU vs Alcorn and Alcorn vs KSU.. But all in all, soon as i heard KSU, the perfect battle that came to mind was them against Txsu

So I'm gonna start out by saying the Stingettes didn't seem interested at all. What's going on? But Um....who is that dance captain for Kentucky State? She was selling every single song!!! I feel like ASU should've had more sound for size and should've won. They wasn't matching Kentucky State's energy. ASU highlight was the drum line and tuba AND Erykah Badu Didn't know and Silk Sonic version of Love Train. Since ASU wasn't matching the energy, Kentucky should've won but took some songs off and made it a tie. I will say I'm feeling Kentucky State's vibe...and ASU sounds way better this year.

Bama state got the best drum section.

JSU played Loves Train last year in the Boombox 5th quarter overall I still like ASU’s version the best followed by JSU. JSU’s version is a lil too choppy but I don’t like FAMU’s or BCU’s version as much. The baseline is everything on this song and Dawg Team be bringing dat 💨 no 🧢.

I can honestly rock witchu bcuz you're non-bias but, I will be honest in saying K-State selections were simple--a lot of whole and half notes. Bama State, plenty of potential but, sounds are too controlled. Bama State open it up!!!

Kentucky State Won This. You Got The First Round Wrong . Kentucky State “Everybody Dance” Was Better Than Alabama State “Friends”. Just Because The Group Chic Was Ahead Of Your Time Is No Reason To Penalize Kentucky State Band.
