On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

I was expecting that, or at least in a dogfight, because the most modern jets cant compete with the tight turns of a piston aircraft. You have to dump all your speed, and falls out of the sky, or you leave the circle and get killed with a gun. If you go into a dogfight with ww2, i see the risk to die higher than for the enemy. The thing is, you can evade this kind of situation with range and speed.

Tom Cruise can't use differential thrust to save Goose if his engines are out. But Goose could have stuck to proper ejection procedure during flat spin and save his own life by getting rid of the canopy first :D

The canopy in the model Goose died in had separation issues in flat spins. The first production F14’s used airflow to pull the canopy. From what I recall there was a real incident where the canopy failed to jettison and ended fatally for a real rio.

At the time period of the movie, The correct procedure was already in the Bold Face for the F-14A as used by naval aviators and i think Maverick even says watch the canopy or eject the canopy in the movie. But due to the situation thats not what happened and the rest is history. It def came from a real incident tho

Here's a fun idea. Bandit KNOWN. Select 5 planes to use in the fight and assign your opponent a plane to fly. If they start turning too tight, get them in something that can't.
