I might be late in realizing this compared to everyone else, but I just noticed that both the Joker and Bane start out their movies in this trilogy as being disguised as one of their own henchmen basically.
I'm mostly impressed with how Bane only needed one try to successfully insert a venipuncture needle into the arm of a struggling subject. Man missed his calling as a phlebotomist.
This is fucking absurd and believable he is somewhere in some 3rd world country probably Africa waiting for Putin to eventually die and return when no one is suspecting
@SHRED SHREDDER it's not a foreign idea that people are willing to die and kill because someone tells them to. It's a weird concept for most people but there are weirder things happening in the world.
Westerners: Terrorists (read-foreign terrorists) are crazy. We white westerners would never become indoctrinated to the point of happy suicide! Other Westerners: What flavour Kool-aid did you want with your pentobarbitol?
Kamikaze fighters, suicide bombers, Jonestown massacre, suicide missions willingly accepted in wars -history is filled with examples of people dying for their cause. Even without the individual death achieving anything grand or worthwhile
Well perhaps he should have been wondering why they only would have been expecting one, when by that point they knew CIA was bluffing about throwing them out of the plane
Don't forget that bane, Canonically, figured out who batman is. Plus broke his back. He is not to be underestimated. Especially not generic CIA operatives.
Same, I absolutely love this movie but Bane should’ve had a deep bad ass voice to make it way better. Based on the comics I don’t think this was his voice lol
You know, there are some insane similarities. His plane was ascending rapidly - just like this plance at 3:06, then started to fall exactly like at 4:42. So here is a theory that it is all set up, also the fact that bodies were beyond recognizable.
An interesting contrast between this and the beginning of The Dark Knight: Joker's hired guns in the heist from the previous movie are so disloyal they kill each other for a bigger share of the loot. Bane's men are so loyal they are willing to die for the cause at any moment. Two very different threats.
@@manea7074 Ironically Joker used their Greed to get rid of all of them so he can achieve his bigger objective while Bane uses their delusional loyalty to achieve his bigger objective the difference being his followers have been indoctrinated into this bigger objective and are willing to die for it. The Organized Coordinated Gang of criminals Joker hired to do the job represents himself as an Agent of Chaos as he tricks them all into killing each other breaking the organized plan he cooked up to them for his grand scheme , while Bane’s followers represents the selfish foolish masses in Gotham being deceived into carrying out an objective that doesn’t benefit them at all.
There's no shortage of plot holes, artistic license, and some awkward dialogue but you can't deny it's well shot, thoroughly gripping, endlessly quotable, and highly memorable.
Crash investigators....THIS WAS ONE HECK OF A PILOT!!! The plane lost both of its wings and the tail... but he still kept that baby in the air for a full extra minute!
@@thedarkknight9634 La Liga De La Sombras Haha. Was listening to the spanish dialog for a good clip at one point and the above name/sentence stuck in my head. Sounds just as cool in either language.
@Danesh PALKHIWALLA [12W] Hammer snaps, casing 'ejects'. The only thing is that the slide doesn't move, it's not very accurate to firing a real pistol, but it technically does fire.
Honestly Iron Man 1, Spider-man 2, Logan and Joker are much better than The Dark Knight. Nolan better make character driven films like Prestige with emotional connection again instead of making one-dimensional character plot driven films with plot holes.
I'll never forget watching this in the movie theater and being absolutely terrified of Tom Hardy as Bane with my dad and my brother. I will always cherish this moment because it was one the last times we got to see a movie of this magnitude.
I was just thinking about the first time I saw this too, me and my friends' jaws dropped. Especially the "...for you" which made us all go "OHHHH" Can't wait until I have dementia and can see this for the first time, again lol
I know some find Bane's voice problematic, but I find it suits Bane well. The contrast between his voice's polite, jovial nature...that sometimes sounded gentle and so rational that directly contrasted with the sheer brutality and cold ruthlessness of Bane's actions...it just downright unsettled me. Just brilliant.
I think some of it is a problem with distribution. He sounded like crap when I caught the movie in my cheap local theater. But now I'm watching this scene at home with some fancy headphones, and he sounds spectacular. It's distorted in such a way that you can barely understand it on cheap audio gear.
the voice isn't the issue, it's the mixing and adr/inconsistency. there are times when it feels like hardy changes recording booths in the middle of a scene and sometimes it's near-incomprehensible. sometimes, like in this scene, it feels far too loud and clear compared to gillen's dialogue
@@user-vr5zk9ox8d I have no issues with Batman nor Bane's voice in general but it's edited too loud in this scene at the very least. Due to the background noise you shouldn't be able to hear his voice so clearly/crisply.
Zhi Kang Shao For realism purposes sure, but then you wouldn’t be able to hear what they’re saying which would be slightly counterproductive. So, what they had done as an alternative was change the camera angle for cinematography effect. To make it appear like Bane was right up in the camera, as if he was talking to the viewer and as if we were right in the action. If you notice during 2:35 and 4:18 the camera angle changes from third person to first person. This serves a couple of reasons: It gives a sense of verbal distance. The closer the angle to Bane, the louder he appears, and also directly serves for the purpose when he is talking in very few scenes to deliver a more impactful experience. The closer the camera is to Bane it draws the attention to him so his lines demand authority. The other reason is central gravity; while there is chaos happening around Bane, it takes us more in depth of the scene. It allows us to feel as if we are right in the action and also delivers better facial ability to Tom Hardy as he can only express through his eyes and much more through non verbals as we cannot see a majority of his face. It makes Bane a lot scarier as we can see how calm he is and the control that he has. Anyways, just saying that movies usually have explanations for small details like that and serve purposes.
@@lifegoeson1007I think he's saying people mostly remember Heath Ledger's Joker more than Bane despite Tom Hardy also doing a good job in this role. He wasn't comparing the two.
Because the others weren't blind folded... And they won't know for surcia killed ..maybe they will think the height wasn't enough to Kil..maybe they can fall in a water body and survive ..or maybe they had a parachute.... CIA didn't body check them
@@kungflupenguin1067 I mean, out of mercy ? if you die from the shot it's less scary than falling down the plane. You don't have to be an asshole even if you feel like you have to execute someone If I were in a position where I would absolutely have to kill someone throwing them but I could shoot them before ijn a lethal way, I probably would do it out of mercy
@@forcemedia444 Yes Tom Hardy was shorter than his actor counterparts and had height extensions put into his boots to make him seem taller. Its not a secret.
yeah but this would never work out. That top plane would have crashed as well dragging that dead weight. Also who flies a large plane that low to the ground
Imagine if little finger was just like “nah I don’t have time for them it’s a security risk and shit” and doesn’t let them in the plane. That would be a “written and directed by George Lucas” moments
Ra Ra Prigozhin Challenger to Vlad Putin He was an ally, then he was not Ra Ra Prigozhin He made a deal with Vlad Putin He thought he got away without being shot...
Смеяться после слова трамвай??! Вы будете врать своим детям??? Тогда о чем мы говорим? Вот ваша сущность. Цыплят по осени считают. Русская поговорка. Учите- пригодится😂
Disintegration before crash. It does happen in extreme stall situations which they simulated here. Commercial plane bodies are not designed to withstand high G-forces and strain like military or space craft are. Depending on age of plane etc, disintegration can occur. Watch some of the extreme stall flight videos on the FlightChannel
I think he just understood that Bane would simply shoot him and release the plane anyway if he disobeyed. Better to not spend your last moments in agony.
"They expect one of us in the wreckage Brother " the sheer loyalty in his eyes willing to die for Bane and the course was brilliant.....To add his voice is ulter cool ..😊
It’s incredible that this hijacking was caught on camera. The world is truly a scary place now with modern terrorism. This sort of thing used to only happen in films. Did they ever catch the terrorists?
