Everything you need to know to visit Banff National Park, Canada's first national park. Banff really has some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world. Towering, snow-capped mountains, turquoise lakes, lush forests, and emerald valleys. Banff is a photographer's paradise and every picture you take feels like it could be on a postcard. Banff is home to an active glacier field called the Columbia Icefield, which is located along its northern border with numerous glaciers. And yes, you can actually walk onto a glacier here. And drink the glacier water! Banff is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking, biking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, and rock climbing are just a few of the activities that visitors can enjoy in summer, and of course plenty of winter activities like skiing, snowboarding in the winter.
