This is the follow-up sketch show to The Smell of Reeves & Mortimer, after their huge success with Shooting Stars. Screened in 1999. If you appreciate the upload, buy me a coffee! ko-fi.com/neil...
There has never been anything like this show. I remember thinking at the time that it would never last because it was just so esoteric and, in spite of their popularity, I knew that it wouldn't appeal to a mass audience. All the better for it imo, it's a hidden treasure. Thanks for posting 👍
You know the guy they're sniffing, he's got to be the greatest extra of all time, he pops up in almost everything since the early 90s. He's gotten bigger rolls over the years, believe he's in afterlife and the Ali g movie. I bet he's got some cracking backstage stories to tell.
I always wondered whether Vic saw Andy Kaufman's bad stand-up/ all-round-"entertainer" character Tony Clifton before he created Kinky John. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MtHyc43Firk.html
