Bang Cookies, a small New Jersey cookie business, began selling its giant organic cookies at New Jersey farmers markets, where it drew people in for its NSFW original name, Bang Me Cookies. Ever since selling out the first day, customers have lined up for a taste of its all-natural, organic cookies, made with ingredients from around the world. The shop started out selling 500 cookies a day in 2016. Now, they bake more than 20,000 cookies a month. Among the best sellers are sea salt chocolate chunk and s'mores. Insider’s Taryn Varricchio visited Bang Cookies to find out why people can’t get enough of these giant gooey chocolate chip cookies.

Kayla Pham GMO foods are richer in flavor then regular food in some occasions. The non organic foods were designed to replicate the ingredients , which will result in a taste like the cookie or greater then the actual cookie.

It has to do with regional flavor, if you have ever eaten chocolate from different countries the soil significantly changes the flavor. Its even more impressive that the cookies are designed with those flavors in mind, not just basic ingredients

Yeah true... having things imported from thousands of miles away causing a massive carbon footprint is not worth "omg the best cookie I've ever had" or at least the "high quality" ingredients they claim they have. Just use local butter and partner with a good high quality American chocolate company even though they'd still ship from Africa for cacao, but it's better than: Africa to Europe then America. It's a lot easier and uses way less carbon to import those ingredients. I doubt anyone would even taste the difference honestly...

When she says “it tastes organic” she’s probably tasting the butter. Butter from grass fed and free range (I assume it’s free range) cows tastes SO much better than regular non-free range butter. The cows are happier, eating healthier, and in turn, producing better milk which makes better dairy products. If you don’t regularly eat free range dairy products your going to notice a big difference between what you normally eat and what your eating now, Organic is probably the first guess for many people for why it tastes better, especially if you don’t eat organic often.
