I will say.. this song is unlike most other songs VoicePlay has put out recently, but as always, they end up making it their own (+ it's an absolute bop!!) Deejay Young is a fantastic vocalist, and fits right in with the group :)

Is no one going to mention the really cool moment of this arrangement from 1:28-1:42 where Geoff says "majorize" and they basically change it to C# major instead of C# minor, and then immediately back? I know that sounds pretty simple, but it sounds very cool the way they do it here, especially the way J-none's solo line introduces us to it.

My thought in the first half was that he has an amazing voice, but is way to... Too much used to the center, to the spotlight. Not like an a capella group member that is used to this change of being in the foreground, background, background, foreground, background... But in the middle/end he started to fit in way better. Maybe they put him in the foreground at first because he is the guest.

The craziest thing is that run has very little autotune. The timing of it is too on point to make it sound natural. There might be a *little* pitch correction, but the majority of that was accurate pitch and timing, which is CRAZY

Check out Layne’s reaction to it too, he should be used to it by now... and Eli almost always does something like that (something that usually gets a reaction from someone else that is equally funny: his run in Shape of You/No Diggity mashup at the end gets him a good reaction from Earl the first time he does it, and the second time he does it (when the song ends and they are speaking to us) Earl tells Eli after the run “Now walk away”, which Eli does, while Geoff is laughing, Layne is probably thinking “we let each other get away with too much” or something like that, Matt (the guest singer) just looks at Eli and smiles. So yeah Eli does stuff like that a lot. Do I seem to know these guys really well? I’m probably not 100% accurate, but I have spent a lot of time rewatching these guys... they are so fun to watch!

After discovering your chanell recently, I have immediately binge-watched (binge-listened?) to every one of your songs. You are a fantastic group. In the earlier vids, Geoff didn't have quite the same control over the low notes as he does (they were still great, just not nearly as good as they are at present), and he had shorter hair. (coincidence? I think not!) My conclusion is this: as Geoff's hair grew, so did his ability to hit the low notes so well, and they must be related. Geoff is the Samson of bass.

I'm late to the party as always but here goes: I get why Geoffs low note is the most replayed moment in this (we love the subs), but I'll make it my personal mission to put 1:28 up there, cause that change into major is genius (thanks Layne!) and of course J is killing it! Been an ardent fan of Voiceplay for many countless months, and STILL they got it !!!!! Man, Geoff's bass - WOW. And Deejay Young's runs - I JUST DIED. This has some of the best energy I've seen, I love it so much! Deejay absolutely killed it 💗 all the riffs and runs between him, J and Eli were fabulous! Geoff coming in strong with that bassline and Layne's incredible beatboxing and gorgeous harmonies, as well as a killer arrangement! 💖 I honestly don't have enough words for how much I love this. Great job as always guys!

This is one of my favorite songs they do. Geoff is absolutely amazing as always. This song really showcased his bass to perfection. He makes it look so easy & he is as smooth as butter. He makes my heart flutter.

The VoicePlay guys and choices of guests are almost unfairly talented. All of the practice and work into honing their voices really pays off. And, the whole of VoicePlay is greater than the sum of its parts. Nothing else to say but cheers!

Important question first: Who got to throw the giant duck at Layne's head?? 😆 Deejay is really out of this world with those vocals, I'm mesmerized, beautifully harmonizing with everyone too... y'know there's a spot open in VoicePlay currently, just saying. And I really love that your credit is always so specified in the video description: "Special Cracy Riff Arrangement - J.None" and yes, no understatements there, that's some crazy awesome riffs! Eli is freaking awesome at harmonies and loved to hear some sneaky Layne harmonizing too! And Geoff, man... that's the smoothest transition to subharmonics I've ever heard. The whole keyboard is just your playground. xD Can't believe you guys managed to surprise once again with an unexpected song kinda out of your comfort zone, but totally doing it justice and making it your own at the same time. Great job on this arrangement, Layne! Thank you for your amazing work, always making my days. So glad I discovered you guys 💙

I just finished listening to the audio, and I nearly screamed with joy! I knew it was going to be a little different but like always you pulled it off. Deejay Young! What! Those notes were amazing! This is a really unique song! Loving the leopard, the singing and Eli’s hat at a rakish angle and Geoff’s body English and the beat boxing and just everything!
