It happened during KpopStar2 in 2013. Yedam was a little bit depressed at that time, so Yang Hyun-suk invited him to YG but drove him to a place where GD's rehearsal.
It was Bang Yedam met GD at first time! Both of them were so shy and cute, GD was sooooooo kind and nice to encourage Yedam, and let him on his stage (GD was preparing for his OOAK tour at that time)

Yedam already wanted to go to YG (who wouldn't?) All his stages on Kpop star had YG-vibe to it. Unique, amazing voice which YG wanted to have, could rap, hip-hop fashion style, arrange the song himself, wrote his own music, etc.
