No, they wouldn’t. Eurovision is a terrible metric for song quality. It’s heavily politically influenced and only exists so that Europe say « look world! Look at how progressive we are! » they would at least place high in the popular vote though I’m sure.
Bambie thug placing 6th this year is the best Eurovision result for Ireland in 24 years. And no, it wouldn't have beaten The Code as the jury's favorite nor Croatia's entry for the audience's pick
@@kmw319 I Get the joke, that was quite funny. The comment you replied to was mentioning the popular soda known as coca cola, or coke. While coke can also be referring to the drug, cocaine, and you were acting like you thought he was talking about cocaine, and also acting suprised at the statement of him saying how he consumed a glass of cocaine, when people usually snort it in small spread out lines. You are quite the humorous chap, i rate this joke 8 out of 10.
Thank you!! You're a legend. This is so cool to see. This track is performed by Kabin Crew and Lisdonvarna Crew. Rhyme Island is the name of our outreach project. 😎 By the way, we have done a couple of fundraisers for kids in Gaza. MC Abdul is a close friend of ours too. He's the first international member of our youth workshops 😎 His tracks Shouting at the Wall, Palestine and All the Way Up created with him remotely at the Kabin Studio 🇮🇪❤🇵🇸 Thank you again for creating this video. What a boost and a stamp of endorsement it is for the kids. 💚😊
Honestly, seeing at least some part of the internet appreciate kids having fun and creating art instead of mercilessly dunking on them for being 'cringe' or some other such stupid shit, is very refreshing. I hope all these kids are allowed to continue to create if they so choose. It is indeed a bop!
Kids music is usually cringe (no reason to shit on 'em for it though) but sometimes kids make bangers like this. I remember loving Jump by Kriss Kross as a little kid and listening again as an adult a few years ago that song still goes hard.
@@carl_hanssonpretty sure the kids didn't write it, some of the lines are too advanced for kids or novices to come up with, there's literally intentional multis in it 🤣
@@stuartlarkinmadtv Bro come on, I think the rap part sounded pretty made up by kids, sure they had help or whatever but a 13 year old can definitely write it, it isnt that advance
@@janegeland7596 i have no idea what gold dust is but this is not drum and bass, this is (like fantano said) a mixture of pop/edm basically. dnb is miles more energetic and chaotic at times. just look up drum and bass
I’m from Cork, the city these kids are from. When you’re in first year of secondary school (11-13ish) you make a music video like this in class. It’s an initiative in Cork brought in by the government to get kids creative. I did it 7ish years ago when I was in first year. There’s hundreds of these videos if you look for them.
@@TheLoughDuck55 that's fucked up his website says hes been doing it since 2008 obviously the little fucker skipped our school to spite me personally glad you got to experience it though tbh it sounds like a great program
The producer of this song- GMC- was a hip-hop pioneer in Cork in the early 2000s. Manys a teenage party was soundtracked by his classics "Blue Velvet" and "The Bouncer Song". I'm so glad he finally gets some Fantano recognition. Looking forward to the upcoming album- Once Upon a Time in The Glen
@thePyiott GMC probably did that too. The group is part of an initiative to encourage young schoolkids to express themselves and gain confidence through hip-hop. Very wholesome
This is one of those things where I don't understand how Kidz Bop can get away with being so lazy. There is music made for kids that actually has effort put into making it. Kidz Bop is the same song, but with the bad words swapped out.
I love that people got to hear a real cork accent via this song. Cork and limerick are not well known accents outside of Ireland so it’s good to get publicity
Not well known like Dublin, but still one of the most well known along with Derry or Belfast I'd say. It would be impressive if they had Offaly accents or something.
Who isn't listening to Drum and Bass these days? It's literally the ADHD intro into fast music (cept nightcore, which is for a different set of people)
Did a double take when I saw the thumbnail, I’d recognise the inside of that bus anywhere. Nice to see talent like this coming out of Cork, surreal to see you covering this county too!
It’s actually pretty true. Popular music is starting to get boring and underground futuristic hip hop is slowly starting to get traction. French production and young, underground, mostly female, spacy, southern hip hop is really really good right now. Yasmine ase 2geeked, rokkstarnova and muddy mya are great examples
I swear they do something differently in the UK and Rep of Ireland. When my son was in primary school, here, in Northern Ireland, after a school concert, my dad wasted no time in telling me, "You and your friends never sounded as good as they did!" He was right. I grew up in Canada, and our school concerts were always dire. I spoke with the headmaster here, and he said it was simply a case of expectations. While at that school, my son was in the choir. I don't know what they said to those kids, but they won every competition, performed professionally with The Ulster Orchestra, and loved every minute of it all, from practice to performance. I miss those days. Lol These kids are awesome. I hope they keep it up.
I think the Island of Ireland really values and invests in the arts (partly as a revival and reclaimation of culture) - Seems like there is a new festival every few months Tradfest, festival of fools, imagine festival, regular ceilidhs etc... English school plays are often dire in my experience I sounds like your son had fun, you must be very proud :)
@@l1p0v Your exactly right. EDM is a categorized as its own thing. Its closer to House and Techno. If we were categorizing by genre, EDM has nothing to do with EDM. If you need help, ask a friend who's a raver
I would recomend looking up the work GMC/The Kabin Studio (the producer) has done with kids in Palestine like MC Abdul and all the work he does with kids from bad areas in Ireland along with kids with disabilities (The Kabin Crew - Ya Boy is a banger! Please check it out!)
@@caoilteocuanaigh9713 at least you're not the netherlands and installing someone who was flagged by the intelligence service in 2010 as being a mossad asset as your vice president lmao
Drake has reportedly been hospitalized with an Iphone 15 pro max playing "Rhyme Island - The Spark" on RU-vid sitting on the ground next to him, the reasons are currently unknown.
Ladies and gentlemen We understand that you Have come tonight To bare witness to the sound Of drum and bass We regret to announce that this is not the case As instead, we come tonight to bring you, The sonic recreation of the end of the world Ladies and gentlemen prepare to hold your color
I found electronic music when I was 16 in 93. It changed my life. The culture of releasing and expressing your energy with other humans from 13-60 was the absolute best. Music has evolved, ebbed and flowed. I’m hearing some of the best tracks these days that express all sorts of vibrations. Despite the noisy distractions and apparent shallow connectedness, I’m seeing younger people appreciating deeper, electronic music that is reminiscent of old, but with new vigour and ideas. It’s almost a subconscious tribal rhythm that guides us towards a peaceful yet exhilarating future. I believe it is a force with the ability to slowly, year by year, bring us closer together, moving though the Millennia towards a spiritual singularity where we are finally one. Sure there is darkness in all of us, but it can still be expressed in positive ways. That feeling when you are listening to a exquisitely crafted heavy duty track and you look over and nod and smile with a big dude or a tiny girl, skinny guy, anyone and share that moment of both being bad asses can’t be beat. A fleeting moment of oneness that the earth remembers. Weave your threads into the collective, make you mark and feed the system. It becomes what we choose. Together, we are unstoppable. Peace to all, young and old!✊
Or Gold Dust by DJ Fresh. Probably countless other tracks too. Turns out this approximate melodic theme is fairly prevalent in liquid funk and jump up.
Man, thanks for bringing this up! I shared this with my friends absolutely exalted and barely got shrugs back. What’s wrong with people? This gives me all the hope I need for future generations and a long lost wish to be young again! Keep up the good work 🙏🏻❤️
I don't understand why, but listening to this song makes me cry in joy. All dem kids are so happy. Those producers and musicians with all their talents doing what is perhaps their magnum opus for the cultural uplift of children... I need to stop crying
